18.01.2022 The new herring season in the Netherlands starts on 12 June. Right on cue the Dutch Club Abel Tasman will have its "vlaggetjes dag" with herrings on our regular... Friday night Happy Hour on 14 June. Due to the Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend the ‘Dutchy’ will not be open for Happy Hour on Friday 7th June 2019, so come to our Herring Day on 14 June 2019. BVN (het Beste van Vlaanderen en Nederland) has been available for quite some time in Au...stralia through satellite reception (and almost anywhere in the world). More recently BVN was also available on your tablet or smart phone through an app. The app has just been renewed and the quality is now excellent. Go to your Apple or Google Play on-line store (for Android devices) and download the new app. It has both live and past programs. 12.01.2022 Wow, what an afternoon! As for many years our hall was packed to the rafters with 200 children and their parents for the annual "Sinterklaas" fest. We like to keep the Dutch traditions high and this was at its best. Thanks to all involved.

02.01.2022 The Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte was in Melbourne today after visiting Sydney the previous 2 days. He had a busy schedule but there was time to meet representatives of the Dutch community in the MCG Long Room. It was nice that the MCG announced his visit on all their screens.
