25.01.2022 We are calling on all eastern Lake Macquarie locals with fever or recent onset respiratory symptoms to contact their GP, private pathology laboratories, or the ...free COVID-19 clinics at Belmont or John Hunter hospitals for screening. This advice follows the identification of three COVID-19 cases in eastern Lake Macquarie region with an unknown source of infection. We are focussing on testing residents from Valentine, Belmont, Mt Hutton, Windale and Croudace Bay. The Belmont Hospital Clinic is a drive-through service where people are screened via phone before presenting. For screening, please call 4923 2211 between 8am-4.00pm, seven days a week. The John Hunter Hospital Clinic is currently operating seven days per week, Monday through Sunday, from 8am-10.30pm. Signage at the hospital’s main entrance will direct people to the nearby screening station. We are also operating clinics at Calvary Mater Newcastle, Maitland, and Manning hospitals. Identifying any additional local cases early and implementing appropriate isolation and quarantining is crucial in preventing onward transmission in the community.

12.01.2022 7 April 2020 From 28 April 2020, eligible businesses will receive a tax-free cash flow boost of between $20,000 and $100,000 through credits in the activity statement system when they lodge all relevant activity statements. This is to help during the economic downturn associated with COVID-19. You do not need to apply for the cash flow boost. All you need to do is lodge your upcoming activity statements.... Make sure you lodge your March and quarter 3 activity statements on their due date and no earlier. This will ensure you receive the maximum refund available to you to assist with your cash flow. If your business is eligible, the credit will be automatically applied - but not before 28 April 2020. You can view the eligibility criteria on our page Boosting cash flow for employers. See Link below. https://www.ato.gov.au///Boosting-cash-flow-for-employers/ Remember we can help with your tax matters so give us a call. 49523472

12.01.2022 Hi all just some info when wanting to book your appointments. We are also preferring phone consults this year if at all possible for our clients. Wait until income statements are finalised, bank interest, shares and health funds are updated. With Single Touch Payroll now in force for all businesses, apart from closely held payees, taxpayers have been urged to hold from lodging until their employers have marked their income statement as tax ready.... Employers with 20 or more employees will have until 14 July 2020 to make a finalisation declaration, while employers with 19 or fewer employees will have until 31 July 2020. The real thing about waiting until it is tax-ready is one, if a return is lodged before it is tax-ready, it requires us to hold the return until we can validate some of the figures in the return, said ATO assistant commissioner Adam O’Grady. Alternatively, if the return is processed through and then finalised later on, we finish up having to create a bill and that creates further distress for the client. So, just having that bit of a gap, or wait, until those records are finalised can save a bit of time and angst down the track.
