The main message being, married or single, mother or not, working outside the home or in the home, we all add value and together we are stronger. The scene of the painting is a Sri-Lankan village setting of women bringing water from the well to provide for their families while nurturing children and friendships. Growing up in Sri-Lanka inspired me to pick this subject for this painting. I used my childhood medium of water colour.
