21.01.2022 Most of you who know me, or have read my posts, know that, back in Dec 2019, I met two Finnish backpackers, Ella and Tiia. Never did I imagine that they would be caught up in this pandemic, unable to get home and now living with me since all of this shit storm started! These two young women are my guardian angels. They have shown me resilience in times of adversity, determination, compassion and empathy. They have kept me grounded, making me laugh and making me cry......wit...h that laughter! They have cooked for me, washed my salon towels, fed my animals, kept my home in order....the list goes on and on. There have been many days, recently, when I have felt myself falling apart, but Ella and Tiia have kept my spirits high, showing me nothing but love and kindness. Ella and Tiia, I want the whole world to know that I’m truly grateful and thankful to the universe for sending you both to me. We will get through this together. I hope all of us will. I pray that most of us learn to show a little bit more compassion, kindness and empathy to each other and that we rise above the challenges that are ahead. We must face them with the strength to move forward. To my partner, my family, my friends and my most loyal clients, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know the time is coming.....the time when I, with a heavy heart, will have to close my salon door. BUT I promise you all, I won’t close until I absolutely have to.........because I live for today, I look forward to tomorrow and I NEVER EVER give up! Until then, always remember..kindness costs nothing and neither does a smile. Love to you all Jodes

19.01.2022 When faced with the thought of small businesses forced to close their doors ....my heart weeps. My business is my love, my livelihood,and my only source of income. I’m at high risk with touching peoples heads almost everyday, but I’ll continue to wash my hands,sterilise my salon, wash capes and towels every night and offer to help my community in any way I can.... I’d appreciate if you could be honest with me if you are unwell or have been overseas or in contact with anyone who has. To know that I can still put a smile on my clients face and make them laugh as we battle this pandemic together is all that matters.
