13.01.2022 CORONA VIRUS SAFE ZONE (A special message to all our patients.) Dear valued patient... We have spent the last 10 days going to extreme lengths to ensure that Dynamic Doctors Group is, and will remain a safe zone for you and your family. Our facilities have been evaluated in every aspect to absolutely reduce opportunities of viral spread. More importantly we have introduced the highest levels of screening to ensure patients with potential Corona virus are directed to the appropriate health facilities without ever entering the practice. As from next week we will also be supplying external hand wash stations and requesting that all patients wash their hands before entering. Why are we doing this? During this extra-ordinary time we are doing everything conceivable to keep our facility safe. We want you to feel safe when you are coming in for a consultation simply because, despite the threat of Corona virus, day-to-day illnesses, chronic conditions, and early intervention cannot be neglected. As an essential service servicing more than 15,000 individuals in the Peel region we are duty bound to soldier on regardless. You can depend on us, we will not be closing our rooms or reducing our commitment due to fear or panic. We will be here for you. 13.01.2022 Just a reminder: ALL WA children from 6 months old to end primary school qualify for free flu jabs this year. We have received sufficient stock to last until the end of May (predicted).... Please phone the practice at 9535 3244 to organise for your kids to be immunised before the flu season hits. This year, more than ever, we need to stop the flu. It can be very difficult to distinguish it from Covid-19 in the early stages, and by immunising we are making it much easier to rule out. Also remember that herd immunity protects the frail, immune compromised, and elderly from getting the flu. The more we immunise the lower the risk of a disastrous double respiratory infection with epidemic flu and Covid-19 in at-risk patients, parents, and grandparents! As WA is forced to open up there will be more Covid-19 cases. We have a small window of opportunity to do everything we possibly can to prepare for this. Please inform your friends and family with young and primary school kids that the flu shot is available for free to their kids. This is different to previous years (and from other states) in that primary school children are now included. Their parents may not know this. Also feel free to share this post to get the message out there in good time.

Using the Australian total COVID-19 case data from the Federal Department of Health, I did a projection to Easter. Assuming that we don't have some major changes to our approach to prevention of community spread, we are looking at around 16,000 cases by Easter. Note: I consider this to be in the public domain. As you may be aware Dynamic Doctors Group took the road less travelled on, and remained open for face-to-face consultations during the height of the COVID epidemic in WA. To do so we initiated the highest levels of bio-safety in the practice, including pre-appointment screening, hand wash stations, sentries to screen all patients for fever and respiratory changes, and a limit on our consultations per doctor per day. Although these methods were extremely... successful it has placed a high level of stress on our systems and a backlog in patient follow up. With the current environment being safer than at any time this year in WA, we are happy to report that we can now offer more appointments and make it easier to get an appointment with us Although we feel confident to provide more appointments per day at this time, we are acutely aware that things may change in the future. Now is the time to get your general health needs assessed and taken care of. Elective surgery facilities have reopened and specialist support has improved significantly. We do ask that, when you attend your appointment, you follow the instructions from our staff to ensure everybody’s safety. Please do not bring more than one other person with you for support as our reception seats remain limited to ensure social distancing. Any enquiries are welcome. 03.01.2022 Our Government funded stock of flu immunisations for vulnerable patients under 65 and children has arrived! What you need to know: This is the usual annual release aimed at protecting vulnerable patients who are deemed likely to suffer an adverse event should they develop seasonal flu.... Vulnerable patients are defined as: Adults and high school children with serious chronic diseases e.g. heart disease, asthma, diabetes, COPD, cancer, immune deficiency, chronic kidney disease, autoimmune disease (amongst others); as well as pregnant women, ATSI patients (all ages), and ALL children from the age of 6 months up until the end of primary school. Patients who have previously had a serious adverse reaction to a flu immunisation, patients who are severely immune-compromised, and patients who have had Guillain-Barré syndrome (very rare), should not have a flu immunisation. Please note that the flu vaccination will, in no way, shape or form, afford you any protection against the Corona virus. We will be supplying the service at no cost to you. We have designed our Car Park Clinic for your safety and to maintain social distancing. We will be extending our late afternoon Car Park Clinic for all eligible adults under 65 and children over 18 years. Please bring somebody to wait with you in your car if possible. Eligible children i.e. children aged 6 months up until the end of primary school, and children younger than 18 years who are considered vulnerable, will be immunised through an immunisation consultation in our treatment room during normal consulting hours (this does not include a doctors room consultation - if your child needs to see their doctor for a consultation as well you will need to inform reception when you make the appointment). All bookings need to be made by phone - (08) 9535 3244 (during practice hours). Due to an extremely high demand this year we unfortunately currently do NOT have any private flu immunisations in stock. We expect to receive some more by mid-May. If you do not qualify for a government sponsored flu immunisation, please call to add your name on our wait-list. All flu immunisations are Quadrivalent (4 strains) this year. A second dose will only be required for children up to age 9 (four weeks after their first dose) who receive their first flu immunisation this year. Please be patient, courteous, and considerate when speaking to our reception staff and nurses. They are the people on the front line. Your attitude can make the difference to their willingness to continue doing this job in a very difficult time. Please be on time for your appointments. We will be giving up our evenings to get the maximum cover in the shortest time. Your cooperation and patience will make this a success!

02.01.2022 Our early stock of Flu vaccinations has arrived! What you need to know: 1. This is an early release by the government aimed at protecting the most vulnerable population group (65 and older) during the COVID19 pandemic. Please note that the Flu vaccination will, in no way shape or form, afford you any protection against the Corona virus. ... 2. We will be supplying the service free of charge to you, through a dedicated Flu vaccination clinic (if you are eligible). 3. To protect this vulnerable population we will be running a ‘Car Park Clinic’ in the late afternoon. 4. Please bring somebody with you to wait with you in your car if possible. 5. Special arrangements can be made if you do not/cannot wait in your car (The ‘Car Park’ model is designed for your safety). 6. We have no information as to when we will receive free Flu vaccinations for children, but anticipate them at the normal time in late April/early May. 7. We do have limited stock of private vaccinations that are available for anybody over the age of 6 months (without contra-indications). You can book a Flu vaccination appointment through our treatment room (telephone only) should you wish to have a private Flu vaccination. We can offer private Flu vaccinations at $22.00 while stocks last (We understand that HBF and other health funds may offer you a rebate, depending on your level of cover). Both public and private vaccinations are Quadrivalent (4 strains) this year. You will not be charged a consultation unless you want to see your doctor in his/her room as well and at the same time (please be specific about this when you phone). 8.
