15.01.2022 Love this it is amazing how your wording and tone of voice can effect how a child responds... responding to children in a negative way can only lead to a negative experience- nothing can be learnt by the child and usually the parent feels bad for reacting negatively. I highly recommend families to use these positive language alternatives they are GREAT

It’s not always pragmatic, but it’s helpful to consciously commit to letting children make decisions for themselves in some areas. When we trust our kids to make decisions, we not only give them practice with an important life skill, we also help them develop #resilience. Resilience doesn’t just mean getting back to normal after facing a difficult situation. It means learning from the process in order to become stronger and better at tackling the next challenge. It’s not limited to tragedies or major life events, either. Resilience applies to more common struggles too. In fact, when kids respond to any type of challengeincluding trouble with learningit creates an opportunity to bounce forward. It helps them learn coping skills and how to find solutions to problems. Learning from setbacks can also greatly empower kids with #learning and #attention issues. It can help them build self-awareness and self-advocacy skills. It can also help them develop new strategies and tools for solving problems. And it can boost their motivation and self-esteem.
