25.01.2022 This neat Alfa Romeo 105 was in last week for a stainless steel exhaust system, replacing the old, damaged item. Being one of my favourite fabrication jobs to do, I always try to add some DMA style to every system. Fully tig welded, correct body clearances and beautiful to look at. 22.01.2022 Anyone with half an idea knows how important it is to let a turbocharged engine breathe, especially on the turbine outlet side of things. The bigger the dump pipe is, the less back pressure there is, therefore maximizing engine efficiency. One of the key features of our rx3 engine mounts is that they offset the engine just enough to allow fitment of a 4" dump pipe down past the steering box. A perfect size for the larger frame turbochargers that these cars are receiving these days. The last batch didnt last long and the next one is on its way. 21.01.2022 Oil filler tubes to suit billet plates now available. These are supplied with a -16 coupler fitting to screw straight onto the press fit fitting supplied with some billet plates or with an additional -16 adapter fitting for those running billet plates with a threaded oil filler. The advantage of this, is that it can be swivelled in any direction and then tightened up, allowing it to sit in the perfect spot for any setup. They all feature billet screw on caps, internal baffling, -12 breather fitting, and come beautifully powder coated and are ready to screw straight on. #fabrication #mazda #DMAgic #therotarymagnet #DMA

17.01.2022 V-band turbo manifold finished up for Ronnys coupe. Featuring a 16mm engine flange, 48mm id runners, single 60mm wastegate flange, egt bungs and of course, is fully tig welded for strength and durability. Coupled with one of our rx3 engine mounts, this setup will incorporate a 4"dump pipe for maximum flow out of the turbine housing. Not only does this allow the engine to breathe and therefore make power, it keeps heat away from the brake master cylinder and associated components which is never a bad thing. #fabrication #mazda #rx3 #13b #therx3magnet #DMA

15.01.2022 A trio of rx2 boot-mount fuel tanks finished up and for installation. These are now available to order, together with new fuel filler tubes, (which need to be used as the factory item runs under the boot floor). Capacity is a shade over 100L and they work in both the flat rx2 boot floor, or the capella boot floor with the wheel well. 12.01.2022 With the ever increasing popularity of our rx3 and rx7 engine mounting systems, and nothing to offer rx2 and capella owners, it was time to come up with a solution to cater for this side of the market. What we have come up with is an engine mount kit which uses an rx3 style front sway bar crossmember and mount which works with either a banana style crossmember or a straight capella version. Not only does this allow owners of both models to have access to a stiffer, stronger m...ount, it also has the added bonus of increasing the front end rigidity by use of the sway bar crossmember. The front to rear offset of the mount is also designed to provide enough room for a wide variety of cooling packages and, as always, the mounts feature polyurethane bushes, are fully tig welded and both the mount and crossmember are powdercoated for a beautiful and durable finish. 07.01.2022 With the re opening of Sydney Dragway edging closer and closer, ensuring your car has all the safety gear required should be number 1 on your priority list. Already a compulsory requirement for some classes, but in my opinion, a worthwhile addition to any car raced down the quarter, an engine containment tray is designed to capture fluid spillages before they hit the racing surface and potentially end up under your tyres. The magic wand is going to be waved over this one in quite a serious way with a complete rear end overhaul on the cards, a complete engine bay setup, roll cage, fuel setup, exhaust system etc, all to be handled by us. 03.01.2022 A few stages showing what is involved in making a custom thermo fan shroud. Fan shrouds are a very worthwhile addition to any radiator, increasing the efficiency of the fan, which helps keep engine temperatures in check. This particular shroud is lucky enough to be bolted to one of two custom 20b rx3 radiator/oil cooler setups for some upcoming builds. Its a slightly different shroud than what I normally make, as Ive decided to refine the design to cover the whole radiator and not just the core...
