24.01.2022 What a couple of weeks! We have been busy making individual therapy session videos; making writing work packs to send home and planning and completing teleconferencing sessions. We are feeling confident that we will get better at delivering telehealth sessions and look forward to continuing to maintain contact with our clients.

23.01.2022 Its been a weird Holiday. We have continued to support clients over the past two weeks. Maintaining social distance and infection control measures; as well as telehealth sessions. Term 2 starts next week. We will continue with a mix of individual face to face or Telehealth. We are not resuming school sessions at this stage. I hope everyone is staying safe and looking after each other. Feel free to msg me if you have any questions.

22.01.2022 We had a fun end of Term community outing at Bowling. we said farewell to our 2 Uni students- Georgia and Tori, who both did well. We are back at work Tuesday for a development and planning day, and from Wednesday seeing clients. Term 3, we are at capacity at this stage.

18.01.2022 Term 3 has started and we are enjoying seeing all our kids. We continue to be Covid safe with cleaning and sanitizing everyone and everything! Thanks to everyone for being safe and cancelling when unwell. In the holidays we had a staff development day and we all attended a mental health crisis course with St Johns First Aid. Its great to learn more about this important issue. We look forward to working with our families to reach their goals

16.01.2022 We had the last of our groups today - School Readiness for our little ones starting Kindy. Lots of cooperative play, fine motor and handwriting activities. Our living skills groups did food prep; we had a self regulation group and we even had an overnight camp with swimming. Lots of fun

14.01.2022 Welcome back to DoTs 2021. I hope everyone has had a happy and healthy new year. We have had a busy start to the year. We have been back since the 4/1/21 with individual sessions; play skills sessions; school readiness groups; community outings and living skills groups. We have practiced working together; making decisions and interacting with retail staff; preparing meals; 10 pin bowling; walks along the beach and swimming at a local pool. It's been awesome seeing our kids interact and function in the community. Some of these challenges we will continue to work on.

08.01.2022 Holidays are upon us! We are doing some staff training; individual sessions and a handwriting group program. Handwriting Group is on Thursday 16/7 at 11.00-12.30... Let me know if youre interested. Numbers are limited. We are continuing to limit numbers in the clinic, clean between clients and ensure hands are sanitized. 08.01.2022 We are starting week 6 on Monday. It's been a busy and productive term already and we look forward to the next month. We have 2 uni students next week and in week 9. We love having uni students and helping the next wave of OT's get experience and education. We will be finishing client services in week 10, 18/12/2020. The following week we will be doing staff education and a deep clinic clean. We are back at work January 4th 2021. We will be offering a range of groups and i...ndividual sessions. 07.01.2022 Update re service provision. As children are returning to school full time, we are trying to keep everyone booked in and attending therapy sessions. At this stage we are NOT returning to school visits and I anticipate that we will be clinic based for the rest of Term 2 and 3. For those that have clinic appointments now, we will keep these unless you let us know. That means you will have to negotiate with your school to leave and attend OT. We will NOT be resuming after ...school groups this term. We will continue to use our distancing and cleaning protocols. If your child is sick, PLZ do not attend. 05.01.2022 It's coming up to the end of the school year! Our last day is Friday 18th December. We are back seeing clients from January 5th 2021. It's been a challenging year for us all and I would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support during these difficult times. We were able to stay open and I was able to keep my valuable assistants. Mez, Brayden, Kyra and Emily have all done an amazing job this year. They have worked hard, continued studying and been flexible and helpful as needed. We have all continued to learn and grow. Great work team.

05.01.2022 DOTS will remain open at this time. We are following advice from the health department and governments. We are preparing for Telehealth sessions -OT via the internet/phone. We are continuing with strict hygiene practices and all staff have completed infection control training. We are looking at doing more outdoor sessions, weather permitting.
