25.01.2022 This week, Dynapumps completed a general service on a pump set for an Iron Ore mine site. The team noticed that the base was painted in the competitors blue branding, meaning it was not to the correct original paint specifications. Thanks to our resident painter Graeme, he painted it to the client's specifications, going the extra mile painting the base pink. 21.01.2022 Another Containerised Fire Water Pump System out the door and on its way to a lithium chemical plant. The Fire Pump system in accordance with AS2941 included 110kW electric and 105kW diesel-driven Southern Cross ISO-PRO centrifugal pumps and a vertical multistage electric driven jockey pump. All pipework was designed and fabricated in-house by our workshop while the 316SS Control Panels for the electric, diesel & jockey pumps and central distribution board was also designed and built by our in-house electrical department. 19.01.2022 Dynapumps this week supplied a FLO-MAX VSPD 125-500 to a Goldmine site to replace a failing pump. The required duty was 450 m3/hr @ 70m head. The bearings on the failing pump were standard ball bearings and after numerous alternatives it was time for a change. The FLO-MAX VSPD is fitted with two angular contact bearings to help with the thrust load. The FLO-MAX VSPD retrofits with the existing structure so there was no additional work required. Technical grades were used in the production of phosphate salts, electrochemical polishing, detergent manufacture, ceramics, plastics and fire retardants. 16.01.2022 An Iron Ore mine site asked us to complete a service on a Split Case Pump without removing the complete pump housing from the baseplate. Performing this innovative service meant we reduce the cost of on-site labour and freight. Dynapumps designed the travel frame to support the assembly and the mechanical seals. 10.01.2022 Since the same vineyard grapes will vary in alcohol content from year-to-year depending on growing conditions, fermented wine is pumped through a reverse osmosis membrane (RO) filter to reduce the water content and concentrate the wine and alcohol. A winery installed a custom skid system featuring a Hydra-Cell H25/G25 pump for this process. First, the wine flows by gravity from 7.6 metres tall vessels that can hold from 30,283 to 170,344 litres of wine. A booster pump pushes ...the wine through a bag filter to remove large impurities such as grape skins and seeds. With its hydraulically balanced, multiple-diaphragm design, the Hydra-Cell pump then provides low-pulse flow at a steady pressure to pump the wine across the RO membranes. The seal-less design and check valve orientation also enable the G25 to handle solid particles up to 800 microns not captured by the bag filter. The Hydra-Cell pump proved ideal for the skid system that provides intermittent, seasonal duty eight hours a day. 03.01.2022 After a Hydraulic System Inspection, our Site Services Technician identified some leaks in the vacuum system at the Food Packaging Facility. We advised the customer of the serious issue and fixed the leaks immediately. The vacuum process was previously 26 minutes is now greatly reduced down to 16 minutes increasing production time significantly! 01.01.2022 Wet Air Oxidation (WAO) is a liquid phase reaction using dissolved oxygen in the water to oxidize wastewater contaminants. The process converts organic contaminants to carbon dioxide, water, and biodegradable short-chain organic acids. Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) is the measure of organic pollutants in the wastewater that need to be removed.
