24.01.2022 BRACES Fixing dental irregularities and straightening teeth is important for good health and also gives us confidence. Braces work by applying a very gentle and constant force on your teeth to move them into a straighter position. It is the wire that generates all of the straightening force. The brackets ("braces") on your teeth simply give the wire something to hold on to in order to apply its straightening force.... Youll see in the before and after image below, the gapped and missing teeth were corrected with braces in 22 months. We recommend every child have an orthodontist visit at 8 years of age to identify any issues that need to be treated early, and so a plan can be put in place.
