25.01.2022 COVID-19 update for Brisbane, Ipswich and surrounds In response to recent positive COVID-19 cases, a range of measures have been put in place for the belo...w local government areas across greater Brisbane, Ipswich and surrounds. Brisbane City Ipswich City Logan City Scenic Rim Somerset Region Lockyer Valley Moreton Bay Redland City The below measures come into effect immediately: Gatherings in private homes and public spaces will be restricted to a maximum of 10 people. These limits do not apply to businesses operating under a COVID Safe plan. Residential aged care and disability accommodation facilities have restrictions on visitors and residents leaving the facility Hospitals have been asked to restrict visitors as soon as possible Hospital emergency departments, aged care facilities and disability accommodation facilities will use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including face masks and gloves to treat all patients and residents. Extra restrictions have also been put in place for movement and gatherings in all other Queensland areas outside of the above listed local government areas. These restrictions include: Gatherings in private homes and public spaces will be restricted to a maximum of 30 people. These limited do not apply to businesses operating under a COVID Safe plan. 25.01.2022 A research exercise to better understand the many challenges young people face in accessing support in the Isaac region is underway. Greater Whitsunday Communit...ies has been engaged by Isaac Regional Council to conduct research to identify the unmet needs of young people aged 10-18 years within the Isaac region. The Isaac Youth Unmet Needs project is collecting data anonymously from youth service providers on barriers they face in delivering services to young people, and especially on service needs that are not currently being met. Mayor Anne Baker said with limited specialist support services available across the region, many young people are not receiving the help that they need in addressing critical issues. 18.01.2022 COVID-19 ALERT: Changes to health directions To keep Queenslanders safe, we've updated a range of health directions, that came into effect at 8am this mornin...g, 22 August. For those in Greater Brisbane, new measures are in place to slow the spread of COVID-19. In Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan City, Scenic Rim, Somerset, Lockyer Valley, Moreton Bay, and Redlands, gatherings in people’s homes and outdoors are now limited to 10 people. Everywhere else, outside these LGAs, gatherings in people’s homes and outdoors are now limited to 30 people.
