19.01.2022 Council is closely monitoring the current COVID-19 pandemic and implementing responses in accordance with Federal and State Government guidelines. It is the int...ent of Council to take reasonable precaution in a reasonable manner to ensure that the potential and actual risks relating to the transmission of the COVID-19 virus are managed effectively, efficiently and transparently. At this time, Council is undertaking a series of Event Risk Evaluations for all events hosted at Isaac Regional Facilities in accordance with Federal and State Government Guidelines. The evaluations are undertaken to determine the level of capacity to manage the identified risks and to remain compliant with Government guidelines and in particular; social distancing and sanitisation. Current programs and events hosted at the Dysart Swimming Pool that are the subject of current evaluations include: - General Operations - Learn to Swim - Squad Swimmers - Lap Swimmers It has been determined that general operations of the Dysart Swimming Pool present sufficient risk to participants to impose an indefinite suspension taking effect at the close of business on Monday 23 March 2020. Council recognises that these steps are unfortunate and may cause some level of inconvenience, however, the decision to suspend these events indefinitely has not been taken lightly and is implemented in accordance with current Federal and State Guidelines and in the interests of the health and well-being of our residents. Council would like to apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and thank the community for their understanding at this time. For more information >> https://bit.ly/2J75xBZ

15.01.2022 Pool hours over the school holiday break. Going to trial opening early and closing just a little later to cater for shift workers. Please note we will be closed during the day. From past experience most families stay out of the midday sun and is usually very quiet. Hopefully the condensed times will be popular and a bit more sociable.... Also please pay attention to a few short days and closures over the Christmas and New Year public Holidays. These hours will commence on the 14th of January! Kind Regards, Management and staff

09.01.2022 Austswim Courses being conducted in Mackay end of June. Get ready for the new season.
09.01.2022 There’s nothing more satisfying than teaching a child and being able to watch them develop over time, not only with their swimming ability but also as a person. Being a swimming teacher gives you countless opportunities to make an impact on a child’s life, easily making this one of the most rewarding jobs around. If you find yourself interested there is an Austswim course available on the weekend of the 5th and 6th of September in Sarina. Register via the Austswim Website.
