19.01.2022 On the rare occasion you get a great original jukebox. When the cabinet and parts look like this , youre on a winner.

16.01.2022 Purchasing a jukebox is an exciting experience. That joy can quickly turn to heartbreak if its a bad one. Problem is there are only about 3 or 4 people in the whole of Australia that restore and service them properly. So importing an unrestored jukebox can be an expensive repair. One, if you cant do it yourself, it will set you back thousands of dollars. Chroming starts from $3000 to $6000 on most jukeboxes. Electronics and mechanics start from $2500 depending on the mod...el. Extras like glass , trim , decals , buttons etc can add a further $2500. Then if it needs speakers , paint and woodwork a further $2500. So when buying a restorer , make sure it is complete and not a basket case. Even us seasoned buyers and restorers get caught out . What they send you is not quite what you receive. It can arrive smashed. Broken glass, etc. Its then hunting the world for parts , as they are only available from dismantlers overseas most times. Hence the jukebox in question is a V200. In pictures it looked great. But the glass received a crack, and the unit clearly needs a full restoration. The body and paint look ok but the rest needs work. A broken glass now makes the jukebox not a profitable purchase. Purchasing a jukebox from overseas now costs double than it did 6 years ago. There are plenty of later jukeboxes available cheap. Not the collectable 50s and 60s , but 80s on. The cost to service and repair is the same. Maybe less chrome, but the rest is the same. Just that it will cost double what it is worth to fix up. Hence not cost effective for buying and reselling unless you got it for free and did nothing to it. Thats what the past operators did to unsuspecting public. So a fully restored jukebox with warranty will cost you more money , but it will be cheaper in the long run . See more

16.01.2022 Still available

15.01.2022 When will people learn that anything over 10 years old needs to be restored. Ok some last longer, but then they burn up transformers, transistors and good luck then.

15.01.2022 In restored condition, but we have one available unrestored that can be done .

15.01.2022 Finding an unmolested and perfect jukebox is a rarity. This AMI H is that. The cabinet is perfect with no moisture damage. The insides are like new. To open the speaker cabinet and find no dust or damage is amazing. Check out the crossover.

12.01.2022 Black or Turquoise?

10.01.2022 This is what can happen when you buy a jukebox that was sold just needing a service.

08.01.2022 It plays as well. Toooo good to cut.

08.01.2022 I get so annoyed from the these 2 dollar repairers over here. They fit rubbish and destroy good jukeboxes or anything electronic. I know this bloke and he destroyed so may jukeboxes and ripped customers off . Look at this shit he has fitted to this Seeburg 201. The amp and reciever were destroyed but i have got that all working.

08.01.2022 Nothing new to report with jukebox sales and repairs going through a quiet period. I have taken the opportunity to get myself serviced and repaired. I have put off shoulder surgery now for 9 years but now it has to be done. Along with this back surgery will be early next year as I prepare for this. I will go through some archives and do some earlier repairs and articles never published before.

01.01.2022 Hello Everyone, as some of you are aware our C.E.O took the position of Chairman of Radio Lollipop WA some time ago and I am in the process of trying to raise $...10,000 to go towards the purchase of items to help entertain our sick children. I have started a Chairmans Fund with the hope of getting 1000 people to donate at least $10 towards a wonderful cause. Every cent helps from $5 to $50 it all goes towards achieving our goal, and helping our volunteers continue their wonderful work. If you get an opportunity I would appreciate it if you could share this link with your family & friends. See more
