This was the second-straight outright victory for Eagle and Wesley College against a strong field of high-tech battery competitors. 10.01.2022 CATAVOLT WINS - YOU CAN BUY ONE! Newcastle-built Catavolt electric motorbike won the Australian Electric Bike Grand Prix Series, wrapped-up at Wakefield Park September 2. The Catavolt repeatedly set and re-broke the lap record on the way to a convincing series win. Jon Eggenhuisen, engineer on the Catavolt, is also consulting engineer to Eagle Electric Bikes. Jon announced production of the first road-going electric motorbike at the Hunter Valley EV Festival and registered ...the first sale. Price is only $18,000 for a bike that will outperform most 600cc+ roadbikes, while saving an annual fortune in registration, fuel and service costs. The Catavolt is unique in the world for its in-hub motor, eliminating chain-drive and making space for more batteries set lower in the frame for increased range and performance, better balance and dynamics. The Catavolt also previously set Australian and World Land Speed Records for Electric Motorbikes.

07.01.2022 Wide range of bikes, riders and styles - and different approaches to speed. Note rider in the light blue jacket near the end of this video - actually in process of lapping the field on way to victory in the Open Class using the Eagle Electric battery.

06.01.2022 International Test-Driver! Larissa Stein, a German exchange student tested a Jim Beam Eagle Chopper at the Hunter EV Festival on Newcastles Foreshore and pronounced it ausgezeichnet - thats German for outstanding, excellent. Larissa wants to pack one in her luggage and take it back to Germany so she can wow all her Uni friends there. The Hunter Ev Festival is the largest Electric Vehicle Festival in Australia and is organised by the Tom Farrell Institute at Newcastle University. Top-shelf machinery on the day included the Varley sports car, the first public view of the GM Volt and numerous Tesla Roadsters. But the Eagle Chopper was voted best performance-for-the-money after covering 36 km at 28km/h on one battery without pedalling.

06.01.2022 W.A. CHALLENGE - UPDATES Eagle Bikes batteries won the Event outright and most of the classes. The Outright winner Wesley College Team 2 completed 46 laps @ 650 metres each - a total of 29.9km at an AVERAGE SPEED of 30+ km.h on an undulating course. This is of course with no pedal assistance whatsoever.

05.01.2022 Advanced Engineering - reclining, aero packages were employed by some competitors using our batteries.

03.01.2022 UPDATE ON THE W.A. CHALLENGE Eagle Electric Bike was originally contracted to provide the Control Battery for this Competition, but part way through the competition the Organisers elected to open the Event to other battery manufacturers. As a result there was stiff competition for the various categories. But we are advised the Eagle batteries dominated the Event, winning almost every category in both power classes (10 Amp and 16 Amp). Overall victory went to the Wesley College entry powered by an Eagle battery. Eagle came 1st and 2nd outright.. More details to follow

03.01.2022 THE TFI of the University of Newcastle conceived, developed, produced and promoted the Hunter EV Festival including the E-bike Durability Event now fondly known as The Australian Grand Prix of Electric Cycles.

03.01.2022 THE Revolutionary Eagle Electric Battery which has pretty much dominated the Australian Electric Bike Grand Prix in the Hunter for the past 3 years, has been selected as the Control Battery for the West Australia EV Challenge. Two Eagle Electric Batteries have been specified to cover all classes in the Event. They are the 36volt-10Ah and the 36volt-16Ah units. These will be utilised by cycle, recumbent, multi-person and car classes in the Event - arguably the most adventurous, broad-based and technical in Australia at present. Meanwhile our customers continue to get the real-life on-road benefits from the Eagle batteries - like Geoff Pettit of Mona Vale in Sydney who continues to claim King of the Hill on the steepest inclines on Sydneys Northern Beaches on his All-black Black Caviar Eagle Chopper. Nice one Geoff.

02.01.2022 SENSATIONALLY SIDEWAYS... How wild is this? Electric Drift Trikes powered by massive battery packs, high-output motors and riding on tube rear wheels - so they slide sideways around corners and can hold long power-slides, even on the straights. Seen at the Hunter Valley EV Festival E-vehicle Raceday at Cameron Park, promoted by the Tom Farrel Institute at newcastle University.

02.01.2022 CHECK OUT this neat photo-sequence which perfectly encapsulates the space-saving role pushbikes can provide in road systems. This especially applies to Electric Bikes which provide valid motor-assisted transport for the myriad of people who cannot ride a standard pushbike. This photo demonstrates that the space occupied by 60 cars will accomodate 16 buses or 600 cycles. This excellent visual was created by the Cycling Promotion Fund - an initiative of Bicycle Industries Australia (BIA). A short video showing the making of this photographic triptych can be viewed here.. http://youtu.be/YEVaP-W4Vs4
