07.01.2022 The Tarkine Wilderness... My photos do not do the beauty of this place justice. These images are within areas at risk of logging in the Future Potential Production Forest. This week the Bob Brown Foundation held a rally to promote action against logging of the Future Potential Production Forest by the Tasmanian Liberals. 356,000 hectares of high conservation value forest are now at risk of logging. The Tasmanian Forest Agreement was made in 2011 to protect these forests. Tax... payers paid $400 million to the logging industry to help transition workers out of the industry and to compensate for making them reserves. These are our forests; carbon stores; endangered species habitat, and our wilderness for the future. Peter Gutwein and Tasmanian Liberals please stop logging this land. Please listen, and protect these places. There is too much at risk.

05.01.2022 The Tarkine Wilderness is so beautiful. This shot was taken at Que - an area that is being selectively logged in the Tarkine. Standing amongst these trees brings me such peace - the anxiety surrounding me just disappears. Hopefully sharing these photos can help in these anxious times. In times like these, taking stock of the beauty of nature that exists all around us - even in our back yards - is important. It helps ground us. Times may be tough, but well get through it if we stay calm, work together, and listen to the advice given. Remember to love each other!

04.01.2022 Over the past couple of weeks I have had the pleasure of working with The Light Collective, Luke Tscharke, and Matt Palmer on a project in takayna/the Tarkine. It has always been a dream of mine to spend time in this beautiful place, and it was amazing to be there with some amazing photographers and great friends. The Tarkine is a complex region - Rugged coastlines with significant cultural sites for the Palawa people and ancient rainforests filled with endangered species. H...owever, the region is resource rich and a site of significant mining, logging, and recreational activities that harm the wilderness. The Bob Brown Foundation are doing amazing work on the frontline to protect the area from further damage and it was fantastic to meet the team. After visiting takayna I have never felt more strongly about protecting it - it has World Heritage significance, and needs to become a WHA/National Park. If you get the chance, go and visit the forests and coastline for yourself.
