15.01.2022 Hobart Tango Workshop and Guided Practica 22nd August David Backler and Siena Mia of Sidewalktango are holding a "one off" afternoon Tango workshop for Couples Only on Saturday 22nd August. Join us from 2.00pm till 4.00pm for an afternoon meet and greet, with an Open Level Tango Workshop and a Guided Practica, in St Xaviers Church Hall South Hobart.... This afternoon workshop is intended as a precursor to the launch of a planned ongoing series of regular classes and guided practicas. The ongoing classes will include sessions for Couples Only and also Solo Dancer technique and musicality . With over 30 years as professionals in the performance arts and tango - Sidewalktango is renowned for consistently bringing focus, energy and excitement to the tango floor . A fusion of close and open embrace, both salon and milonguero styles. A sound structural analysis and strong technical expertise. All due respect is given to the Traditions, the Music, and to the Milongueros of Buenos Aires who created this wonderful culture and social dance art form. All our events will be conducted in a Covid19 WorkSafe compliant system and therefore attendance at this event will be by BOOKINGS ONLY. 12.01.2022 Eagle Hawk Tango RESTARTS Sunday 26th July Countdown to Classes restart in : 8 days and 14 hours ! Our classes are soon approaching commencement, with a COUPLES class at 2.00pm and a technique class for SINGLES at 3.30pm... The classes will be run under the guidance of Covid-19 protocols and social distancing. In this present environment we will still maintain a very nice atmosphere in the classes, and create a high standard of Good Tango Each couple and single in the classes will individually receive a level of tutelage that is adjusted directly to their personal levels of experience and desire for potential growth as tango dancers BOOKINGS: We have had an amazing response to the reopening of tango in Eaglehawk and the 2.00oclock couples class is now fully booked. 08.01.2022 Part Two our announcement on the recommencement of Tango classes starting next month at EHN. You have the dates and times and now we wanted to share with you how we are going to achieve this with your spirit and will for community fun in dance to continue! In accordance with WorkSafe Regulations and the Tasmanian RoadMap to Recovery policies,... we are conducting our two tier lesson system with due diligence and responsibility. The following points are laid out to show how we are able to work with the regulations that protect community well being, and provide the outlet for social gatherings, including learning , fitness, and f House Rules for the Re-opening of EagleHawk Tango Classes. Classes to follow WorkSafe Regulations: Unfortunately we will not be able to share food drink and Practica at present, so please bring your own drinking water, what we can share is our smiles and laughter. Hand sanitisers will be provided on entry and departure and antibacterial wipes for bathroom door handles and taps. At 3.00pm, a half hour break before second class commences, for David and Mia to complete the sanitising requirements before the next session. There will be no changing of partners. David and Mia will be demonstrating only. Each couple or single person participating in classes will be social distancing from the other students and all participants will have a marked private floor area to work in. Floor spacing will be marked appropriately for social distancing purposes , both for couples and singles. Class sizes will be restricted, so bookings for classes are essential and will be greatly appreciated so we can complete requirements and importantly be able to proceed with a stress free and fun learning experience. The Tasmanian Government has set in motion a further easing of restrictions from 15th June 2020 and we had hoped to restart soon after .
