20.01.2022 Hi everyone, Due to the recent announcement from Premier Andrews regarding the re-imposition of restrictions, our planned face to face Sunday gatherings at St. Peter's is now cancelled. Please do not attend the church tomorrow morning and circulate this news widely. Peace everyone
19.01.2022 Windows have arrived and shortly to be installed! We have a plan to commit to more windows and have received a generous donation to get us going. Peter Toyne is pulling together a working group of people who have an interest in future window projects. If you are interested in being involved come along to our first working group meeting at 3pm on Thursday November 19 at the church. Let us know if you are coming :)
16.01.2022 Harvey Town Cluster is excited to announce our first of two ‘Spoonvilles’ being created as a fun way to connect with others in the community! Sophie’s lonely ‘Forky’ spoon needs a friend at St Peters church. There are even spare spoons for people to take and decorate before bringing them back to do the catwalk with the other spoons!
15.01.2022 Today it was decided by the Anglican diocese that regular worship services be paused for the time being due to the current COVID-19 crisis. Over the last week I have been working very closely with Charlotte and our wardens to formulate a contingency plan should this happen. Over the coming week I will be outlining a model for worship which will involve regular gatherings in small groups and the use of innovative technologies to remain connected, maintain our sense of belongin...g and importantly, to continue to live out God's mission and ministry in our local contexts. I can understand if there are many unanswered questions right now but I am confident that we can work it our together and take advantage of the opportunities that this new way of being will offer us in the immediate future. St. Peters will be open on Sunday between 9 and 12 for prayer and encouragement for those who might need it. I suspect that people might come and go and the regular precautionary measures we introduced last week will still be in action for those who do come. This is not an excuse for us all to become lazy disciples, but rather, to look beyond ourselves to discover how we might bear witness to God's life in us. Let us not become complacent in our calling and discover the newness of life that Jesus is unfolding before us at this time. Grace and peace, Brendan
