21.01.2022 Hi All just a reminder that Senior training starts tonight at 5:15pm. Training will have a different feel this year as we need to observe some guidelines around social distancing. The following are the key points about the Return to Training Plan; - Everyone attending training will need to sign in, there will be QR code to scan for this purpose. ... - Please bring your own water bottle, the bubble tap will be unavailable. - There is to be no sharing of equipment including helmets and gloves. - The club rooms will not be open after training at this stage. - Hand sanitiser and wipes will be available at the nets. I will cover over the Return to Training plan in more details at the beginning of tonight's session.

20.01.2022 Fantastic news for the club and the Eaglehawk community, the new oval lights are being installed over the next few days.(Difficulty accessing due to recent rains). Looking forward to having all our footy teams, Men’s and Women’s playing on the same day!

20.01.2022 Another great weekend of Junior Cricket, the Master Blasters was another hit with us hosting another four games at Eaglehawk Canterbury Park, again it looked amazing have eight teams playing all spread out. Thanks to Ash, Abby, & Renae for helping with the set up. The under 11 just missed out on the win Friday night by 11 points but they had an amazing night with Patterson Murphy getting 20 runs & Mason Fitt taking 1 wicket for 5 runs, & Jackson Nisbet taking 1 wicket for 6 r...uns. Saturday morning, we started with the Under 16 doing us proud playing with only 8 players and managing a massive 81 runs Oscar Horan 20 not out and Ben Trew with 13 not out, unfortunately golden square managed to reach 144 and take the win. Great job team for a huge effort. Our 14A started with a bang, Taj Taylor on a hat trick but just missing out, but getting 2 wickets with 3 maiden overs, Adam Triplett 2/3 and a huge effort keeping Kangaroo Flat to 48. Our boys came out swinging with Max Miller top scoring with 31 not out and Maysen Petterson 26 not out with a huge score of 143, Well done boys. Our 14B unfortunately could not came home with the win but played well, Dylan Baker 2/9 with the ball & Jimmy Webb 1/7. It just did not go there way with the bat as they only managed 71 with Henry Martin top scoring with 13 not out. Keeping fighting boys. On Sunday, our 12A managed a win by 29 points, with a whopping top score by Logan Wilson 47 runs off 29 balls not out. The wickets were spread out with Mitchell Leerson-Hunt getting 1/8 and Harry Miller 1/11. The forecast for next weekend is hot, so let’s hope we get to play but we will keep you post, well done to all the teams.

20.01.2022 Wet weekend , but a great result for the 3rd XI boys!!

17.01.2022 Season 2020-21 Information The club would like to provide our members with an update regarding the upcoming season. As you are all no doubt aware we entered in to a new stage 3 lock down period which means no community sport or training for the next 6 weeks. Prior to this announcement it was the intention that the season would be starting on time in early October for the senior body and a few weeks after that for the juniors. With the new lockdown the BDCA has proposed a ran...ge of scheduling and format options for comment by the clubs, the committee and our club coach Matt White are currently looking at these options. What we do know at the moment is that our intention at Eaglehawk Cricket Club is to proceed with senior and junior cricket in some format for the 2020/21 season. We were about to open our junior registration however we have temporarily postponed this until we have some more clarity on when the season will start. Please keep in touch with our social media platforms for more information regarding this. Senior training will commence at the conclusion of the current lockdown period if the post lockdown regulations permit such activities. Again more information on this will be provided when it comes to hand and will be distributed via our social media platforms. To ensure everyone’s safety the club has formed a working group to assess the return to play process for the club and will provide this information to coaches, players and members as required. Please fell free to contact the club if you have any questions at all and we will endeavour to answer these as soon as possible.

17.01.2022 Upcoming Training Times

17.01.2022 The club would like to advise all members that the Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday the 19th of July at 11 am at the club rooms. Anyone wishing to attend please notify the secretary no later than 5 pm on Saturday the 18th of July so as to ensure the club can conform to appropriate social distancing measures. All Executive and Committee positions will be declared vacant and nominations for all positions will be taken from the floor. If you wish to nominate for a position but not attend the meeting, please notify the secretary in writing by 5 pm on Saturday the 18th of July.

11.01.2022 CHRISTMAS TREE FUNDRAISER 2020 This year, Rodilesa Plant Supplies have decided to do our annual Christmas tree fundraiser for Oakley West. On the 29th of D...ecember 2019, the West family (Anthony and his wife Jess and their two children Oakley 9 and Deighton 5) were involved in a car accident near Creswick which saw the tragic passing of Jess and Deighton. Anthony and Oakley were also injured in the collision and Oakley was flown to the Royal Children's Hospital. After months of rehabilitation Oakley has made a full recovery but now they face a life without their wife, mother, son and brother. The owners of Rodilesa Plants have a relationship with the West family through the Lockwood Tennis Club and the Newbridge Football/Netball Club so we have decided all the profits made from the trees will go towards Oakley's future schooling. A 'funds account' has been set up with the Strathfieldsaye Primary School so Anthony can access when needed to help with any school related expenses. (e.g: fees, camps, computers, stationary etc.) The trees range in heights from 4ft to 6ft high. They will be $45 each, with tree stands also available for $30 if needed. We are encouraging everyone to pre order their trees via phone or by direct message to the Rodilesa Plant Supplies Facebook page. Junortoun 54 493 966 Castlemaine 54 706 527 Kyneton 54 222 732 On the 4th of December we will be opening the Junortoun store car park from 5.30pm - 7.30pm for you to pick up your tree. We would appreciate orders to be placed before the 4th of December so we don't run the risk of you missing out due to high demand. If you are unable to pick up your tree we will also offer delivery for $15 in the Bendigo area only. For those who can not make it on the 4th of December, Junortoun will have trees available in store from the 1st of December. Kyneton and Castlemaine will have trees available in store from the 4th of December but we still encourage people to pre order. Anyone who buys a tree will also go into the draw to win a water feature valued at $1000 - kindly donated by Northcote Pottery who we thank very much for their continual support with these amazing donations every year. This will drawn on the Monday the 21st of December. All the Rodilesa staff hope you can get behind this great fundraiser so we can raise as much money as we can for Anthony and Oakley West. 'Lets do it for Oakley!'

10.01.2022 05.12.20 With all of the rain over the weekend we managed to get all of our juniors games in which is fantastic. Maiden Gully under 11’s were just too good for our Borough team, but the kids still put up a great effort Oakley West getting 16 runs with the bat and Patterson Murphy with a close 14 runs and 1 wicket for just 8 runs, great bowling. Jimmy Nisbet stepped up and filled in and managed to get his first run and faced 6 balls. Thanks Jimmy. Saturday morning, we start...ed with the Under 16, they finally had a full time with a few of the Under 14A boys stepping up but unfortunately Bendigo United was just too strong for us. Ben Trew getting 2/14 & 27 runs, Brandon Columbas 1/10 with the ball and our fill in Kai O’Hehir taking 2 catches. Oscar Horan making 24 runs and Adam Triplett 20 not out. Our 14A had the BYE but 2 of our boys filled in for the Under 18, 4 filled in for the Under 16 and 1 for our Under 14B Thanks guys Sandhurst was just too strong for our 14B, the boys played well with Charlie Hillard taking 3/5 & taking a catch super effort with the ball and Jacob Boucher top scoring with the bat 20 not out. Great effort guys Our 12A got another win on Sunday, well done boys. Logan Wilson had a stella game top scoring 21 runs not out and 2/3 with the ball. Tyson Owen 2/11 bowling and Xavier Stone with 20 runs. Another great game guys. 07.01.2022 The 2020 -2021 Cricket Season is almost upon us. Yes, we know things are very different at the present and we can assure you we are working hard to try and get this season up and running. We would love to see the kids out enjoying their sport again. The league is working hard to come up with a suitable format given Covid 19 restrictions, however nothing formal is currently available. That said this season may be reduced to accommodate the best scenario to ensure cricket is p...layed in some format throughout the 2020/21 season. We will keep you informed as soon as we get additional details. We are asking you all for an expression of interest by signing up on PlayCricket for the coming season so we can start assessing numbers. This includes Junior Blasters, Master Blasters, Under 11, 12, 14 & 16 Because we understand some families may be doing it tough and we aren't sure what the season looks like we have deferred payment of our club fees until later in the year. Currently the online signup only requires a $5 Cricket Victoria insurance fee. We are also taking expression of interest for a potential girls team should we get the numbers, if you are keen please signup online or send us a message and we will be in contact. Should you have any further queries please let me know and I will answer it the best I can. Play Cricket Link; https://www.playcricket.com.au/club-finder/club-details

03.01.2022 2020 has been a big year for so many reason, with one reason being unfortunately due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. This has taken a toll on many people in many different ways, with a key way of this being the Mental Health. That’s why it is important for us to check in on our friends, family, neighbours or any just anyone you know. Today is r u ok day, which is a day where you’re encouraged to ask anybody and everybody you know if they are okay because asking a simple question can help that person in more ways then you may ever know! The photo attached is a diagram that may help those unsure how to direct the conversation. Hopefully things start to change for the better in this unusual time and see each other at the famous Canterbury Park once again but for now, remember to ask r u ok?

Club fees this year will remain the same, all juniors have been deferred until later in the season with just a $5 Cricket Victoria insurance fee required.
