13.01.2022 VALE PETER CRONE A young, quietly spoken lad arrived at Eaglehawk from St. Arnaud in 1985 to try his luck in the highly rated Bendigo Football League, and made a instant impact. Peter who played in the ruck could move around the ground with ease and was a goal kicking ruckman with his best a bag of 6 against Kyneton in 1987. In his time at the Mighty Borough, Croney played in 2 Runners-up teams 1986 / 87 and 2 Preliminary finals 1991/92. He was Runner-Up to his good friend Mu...rray Collins in the 1988 B and F. When Peter decided to leave Eaglehawk at the end of the 1992 season, he had played 155 games and kicked 121 goals. He had also represented the Bendigo Football League at Inter League championships on a number of occasions. At the time when he chose to leave the borough, he was still a quietly spoken man, but by his actions on and off the football field, he had earnt the respect not only from his team mates and Eaglehawk faithful, but from the greater Bendigo football community as well. Peter passed away on Thursday 27th August 2020 after a battle with the cruel and deadly disease MND. He was 54. To his wife Nic, and kids, Harry, Xavier, Indi and extended family, the committee players and supporters of the Eaglehawk Football Netball club pass on their deepest sympathies at this very sad time . 02.01.2022 With yesterday's announcement by the Victorian Government on new Stage 3 restrictions for Regional Victoria and Mitchell Shire coming into effect from midnight ...tonight, we wanted to let you know what that means when visiting EUFS. From Saturday, 8th August, EUFS will be open Monday to Friday only, from 9.00am to 6.00pm. We will be closed on Saturdays for the foreseeable future while Stage 3 restrictions are in place. We ask that you continue to tightly adhere to social distancing guidelines, sanitise your hands and have your temperature checked prior to entry to the dispensary, and use contactless payment whenever you can. Remember to avoid touching your face (with or without a mask) and cough and sneeze into a tissue or your elbow. The health and safety of our patients, customers, team members and community remains our top priority. Therefore, it's very important that you don't come into EUFS if you feel unwell, should be in mandatory isolation or have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected case of CoVID-19.
