13.01.2022 Light to Light Walk Reopening Update ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On January 5th 2020, the Border Fire crossed into the southern section of Ben Boyd Nat...ional Park and burnt the majority of the park over a four week period. Since then large sections of the park have been closed to allow for regrowth and rejuvenation, as well as clean up works to ensure the safety of visitors. This week the National Parks and Wildlife Service has announced the wonderful news that sections of the Light to Light Walk are reopening very soon.....as follows.... Bittangabee to Green Cape (opened in June 2020) Saltwater to Bittangabee scheduled to reopen 01/10/20 Boyds Tower to Saltwater scheduled to reopen 01/11/20 We also note that the Saltwater and Bittangabee Campgrounds are both open, and can be booked online with the NPWS here - https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/camping-and-ac/search So start planning your trip to Eden to enjoy this spectacular 30km coastal trek from Boyd's Tower to Green Cape Lighthouse (or sections of it!)
