07.01.2022 The fire and wind gods smiled on us these last few days. The ground is littered with burnt leaves and a fine layer of ash covers most things - but so far we have been so very fortunate. So many haven't though and our heart aches for the loss in our community, in the Shoalhaven and indeed Australia more generally. Whilst fine rain is falling today and the respite is welcome, fires still burn only a few kilometres away and with the landscape so dry and loaded with fuel we continue to hope for rain, favourable winds and the safety of those who work tirelessly to protect us - and also for a compassionate and committed Australia as we help those that have lost recover and rebuild.
