24.01.2022 Here at Eagles Rise, at this historic time, much has been going on! The French couple that came to stay in early March for a week as paying guests are still here as my WWOOFers!!! Andy the American is also still here and very much part of it all. So much is getting done around the place and as they are part of the household, so much fun and laughter is heard too! There is Pizza Night on Fridays in the Carport Cafe, gym workouts every second day with stretch classes in between...! The wood is coming in for next Winter and new veggies beds have been built!! Bread and apple crumble from this years crops will be baked this morning and the renovated caravan will be completed soon and ready for sale!! The new chicken coop is on its way to completion and the Plymouth Rock girls are going to be here soon!!! :) This has been a hard time for so many and my heart goes out to anyone affected. I feel so grateful to have gone through this with others, but know that this is not the case everywhere else. May this time be over soon, although I will sorely miss my present company when the time comes for them to move on to their next adventures, and travellers will once again come and visit my piece of paradise up here! 20.01.2022 Just had David and Tina from Cairns staying in the cabin for 6 nights! They went out every morning and visited all the spots on the North Central Coast of Tasmania, from The Nut in Stanley, to Launceston, to Cradle Mountain and Deloraine. Penguin markets got a look in for them on Sunday! It was cold up here, but they said they were warm and cosy in the cabin! The next guests are a couple from Canada, now living in New York! 19.01.2022 Had a lovely couple of guests for five nights, all the way from the UK! These active and happy septuagenarians, explored this part of the North Central Coast of Tasmania every day and Patrick even got a swim in on the last day at Turners Beach, followed by a lunch at Le Mar! Great guests! They always make hosting a blessing! :)

19.01.2022 Coming into our Winter months and the cabin has been busy looking after wonderful guests who enjoy exploring Tasmania at this time of year! Crisp clean air, cobalt blue skies and the cosiness of a fireplace and a bath at the end of the day! I keep putting back in to my accommodations and the latest upgrade to the Cosy Cabin is a little front deck entrance and cafe blind! The cabin now also has a sofa that can turn into a double bed for that extra guest. The little Squirrel Mors wood stove is another added feature, bringing more warmth and colour to the space. 17.01.2022 Having my first guest stay without me there! Fabulous! The cabin is all ready for her and with a lovely neighbor checking the room the day before for me and turning on the hot water. The key safe on the wall will give her access. Yey! The peace and quiet is all for her to enjoy :)

16.01.2022 Well, even though winter is here, the weather has been superb! So much has been going on here, and my veggie patch has increased with the wonderful help of my current German WWOOFer Gerry!
