16.01.2022 24th of March 2020 Dear Eagleton Participants, Families and Stakeholders, The health and wellbeing of our participants, their families and our team has always been our top priority as well as working in accordance with government guidelines.... Given the ongoing concerns around COVID-19 the implementation of social distancing and the increased need for infection control we have made the decision to temporarily stop centre based day program and centre based short term accommodation (Respite). This does not mean services are not available, just that we are changing the way we provide supports. Participants who are receiving centre-based day services have been contacted to discuss support requirements over the coming weeks and how Eagleton can continue to provide support; this varies from reduced capacity support, in home support and a few other options for complex support requirements. Participants who are accessing centre-based short-term accommodation (Respite) have been notified of our current reduced capacity services and that our Respite services will be temporarily closed from Sunday with the exception of Emergency Short Term Placements. Further to this we are supporting our teams, participants and families by ensuring regular communication around COVID-19 and infection control practices. We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone and that there is a lot of fear and uncertainty around what the impact that COVID-19 will have on our families, ourselves, our communities and systems. Please know that Eagleton Ridge Disability Services will do our utmost to continue to provide support to the Eagleton Disability Services Community during this time. We ask that during this time you help us protect our participants, their families and our team and let us know if you have been told to self-isolate, you are unwell (with anything) or if you test positive to COVID-19. Please reach out to Gabby [email protected] or 4987 1686 if you require any changes to support during this time. Please stay safe and kind during this time. Kind Regards, Danielle Beemsterboer

04.01.2022 Hi all, As many of you know Belinda spends most of her time caring and raising wildlife that have been injured or orphaned. At the moment Belinda is caring for Oscar and Charlotte the Wombats, Josephine the Joey and Maggie the Magpie.... Three of these have been rescues from the Southern Cross Wildlife Care. Howard and his team at Southern Cross Wildlife go above and beyond to rescue and rehabilitate the injured wildlife that comes into their care however as a result of the bushfires the team will need all the support they can get. If you are in a position to help out with a donation please contribute to the link below. There is also a need for some sewing of pouches if anyone is interested please contact [email protected] for information. https://www.gofundme.com/f/wildlife-need-urgent-help-from-d
