13.01.2022 Part 3 of Vy ls1 cam and head upgrade and rebuild After motor reinstalled, new exhaust headers and full custom fabed exhaust system installed, Radiator and loom connected and all accessories fitted. Motor then was test ran and sent to the tuners... Only vid I have is with out the full exhaust system fitted witch I will post in the comments. This completes this customers job and was very happy and thrilled with his new pride and joy, List of parts fitted Cam, cam plate, double row timing chain. Oil pump, lifters, Recon 241 heads with double row valve springs and seats, balancer bolt, injectors cleand with new seals, exhaust extractors. Spark plugs, leads, and oil and fuel filter, Diff and gearbox oil was also replaced. List of new gaskets Front and rear plate, sump, front and rear seals, headgaskets and head bolts,vally plate, rockercovers, manifold and throttle body, And Exhaust gaskets. 02.01.2022 Every year i like to do a rebuild/restore on my cars, Every year I replace all gaskets and seals, And a full Service, Plus paint and clean the hole motor,box drivechain and clean inside and out and under the car for a yearly refresh, This list is for the drivechain assembly only, not for the car, bushes and mounts ect... The following is what I look at and replace yearly, This year I missed some as they were still very good. The motor and box has to come out to accomplish th...ese tasks, Motor and Box removed and stripped, Parts cleaned and ready to paint to have the new parts installed, MOTOR. Vally gasket, Rocker cover gaskets, Intake gaskets, Throttle body gasket, Front main and rear main seals and check for plate gaskets, Sump gasket, Exhaust gaskets, and the Spingot bearing, Spark plugs, Spark leads, Oil+Filter TRANSMISSION. Man/auto Front and Rear seals, Oil+ Filter, Paint, DIFFERENTIAL. 01.01.2022 Vx ss ls1 wagon, Part 1 Customer came in with a exhaust leak dew to x3 snapped header bolts after a his mate installed the extractors, Upon inspection, I found rear main leak, sump leak and rocker cover and Vally oil leaks, and seized water pump, ... Dew to snapped bolts and sump leak motor was removed for better and easier access, All faulty parts/gsskets have been replaced, Motor removed and block and gear box cleand and preped for dismantle, Stay tuned for part 2
01.01.2022 Cam, Lifters and head replacement. Part 1 Ls1 full motor rebuild on a Vy ss sedan Came in for lifter tick, turns out it snapped a valve sping causing it to drop a valve and valve seat witch got destroyed by the piston and head, the head and the piston on that side is buggered and had to be replaced.... 1/1 Motor and Box removed Box and clutch removed All Accessories, manifold, heads, sump, cam/lifters and pistons removed. Block and all parts cleaned and prepped for reinstallation Part 2 is coming once the job is completed
