25.01.2022 At the pass, Charlottes Pass, looking somewhat west to the start/end of the main range track. The walk to Blue Lake is pretty easy going with the hardest section at the start; getting down and back up from the river is darn steep - flat and even ground, but steep. Off the trail, it’s a little different; textures and patterns always changing, constantly undulating, guiding you in a seemingly aimless wander, roughly in the direction intended. @ Kosciuszko National Park
25.01.2022 Searching for a campsite, down the road less traveled.
25.01.2022 Sunshine Coast, rider unknown.
22.01.2022 Blue Lake from the tent door and the mouth of the lake itself, before it heads off to join the Snowy River. The walls dead ahead become a testing ground for prospective mountaineers in the winter, learning the dark art of ice climbing. Finally, looking up at Little Twynam as cloud and heavy fog rolled in for our departure. @ Kosciuszko National Park
21.01.2022 It’s amazing how quickly the landscape changes in the mountains. Here we are at Blue Lake Creek, where just over the immediate horizon it dips and twists it’s way into Hedley Tarn. Our campsite was just a couple 100m’s up the ridge on the left, right on the edge of a boulder field that looked like a giant had dropped a bag of marbles of all shapes and sizes and forgotten about them. Not to mention the colours and textures of the vegetation that is so darn tuff to survive in what can be quite a hostile environment. Props to you nature.
21.01.2022 I think this period of restrictions has a lot of people looking back on the past. Here’s when we could go see places and do things.

19.01.2022 We’ll close out this adventure with the tones of the alpine; all but the 4th image were taken in the same sunset. The 4th is of Little Twynam as the first rays of light begin to reach over the valley. Now to see what else I can find from the archives... #staystoked

13.01.2022 Venturing along Cape Queen Elizabeth; One of the tighter squeezes without having to swim around the rocks or climb over the hill.
11.01.2022 The layers of nature - incredible. I don’t remember, but probably shot somewhere near Bright, Victoria on Kodak Portra400 most likely. #fromthearchive
09.01.2022 The view from our camp looking over Hadley Tarn, the first stop coming out of Blue Lake on its way down to join the infamous Snowy River.

08.01.2022 The view from camp, looking over Hedley Tarn with the Main Range Track coming up out of Charlotte’s Pass behind us; and standing on Little Twynam, peering into Blue Lake as the sun sets. @ Kosciuszko National Park
06.01.2022 They say the fastest way to learn is to jump in and swim; that certainly was the case for @sambrahpurrductions and I on this impromptu hike to Blue Lake in 2017. Still one of my fondest memories and would hands down do it all again.... but maybe just with a more suitable tent and not a 5L jerry can... @ Kosciuszko National Park
06.01.2022 Killer weekend with some killer klimbers @ Thompsons Point
02.01.2022 ‘Are my shoes on backwards?’; ‘Wow, this light is nice!’; ‘That water looks cold, but the view is pretty’... At least that’s what it looks like they’re thinking... Sept 2019
02.01.2022 Looking forward to replicating this trip from January 2019; bush to beach with a few rivers in between, all in good company. @ Australia
