20.01.2022 Something amazing hapenned this week! A brave little girl came to see me early this year as she needed help getting a tooth to come through. Despite being incredibly cooperative getting her appliances on, later she didnt find it easy to seat on the chair and let me remove the appliances once we didnt need them any more. Anxiety presents in many ways in children and we definitely need to listen, be patient and respect. Mum and I have decided to take it slow and step by s...tep earn her trust and cooperation. This week, this little girl made my day. First she surprised me with this beautiful present and then she sat on the dental chair, let me change the colours to her few braces (something we couldnt do before) and left happy and proud! I was thrilled by her courage, by how much better she is doing and how lucky she is to have such an amazing and supportive Mum. See more

Sugar itself is not the problem, but the frequency of our intake, our habits and how our bacteria react to the sugar could have detrimental effects in our oral health.

16.01.2022 Today I have joined the group of Mums leaving their kids at school for the first time, and I wanted to share this photo with you. My oldest daughter started Kindy today. It has been an exciting day for our family. This fantastic little soul was pretty much born at the practice, and five years later we start this journey together.

16.01.2022 We came across this image online, and it is great to explain how masks protect us from infectious disease. The NSW Government is actively encouraging greater use of masks in high-risk public settings to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The advice from the NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant recommends explicitly:... the use of face masks in indoor settings where physical distancing is hard to maintain, such as waiting rooms for medical appointments. We are making a considerable effort to maintain social distancing between our patients and us at all times, but some times this is not possible. We would like to ask you to wear a mask when attending the practice; as it will help to keep everybody safe. A mask is not a substitute for physical distancing, but it will contribute enormously to decreasing the risk of infection. Thank you for understanding and your cooperation during these times.

12.01.2022 Teeth like any other part of the body are to be treated by professionals as the consequences of unsupervised treatment may be irreversible. Orthodontists attend a 4-5 years program to receive their dental degree and another three years of specialist training to be able to provide the best possible service to our patients. It takes that long to learn about anatomy, physiology, pathology and biomechanics, to name a few. It is our job to inform the public about the risks of treatment without direct supervision from a dental professional.

02.01.2022 We are back! After recent Government announcements, dental services will be allowed to practice under level 2 restrictions from Monday 27th of April. These restrictions mean we are allowed to see patients again with additional precautions for the safety of out patients and staff. ...
