11.01.2022 PLAYGROUPS ARE FOR EVERYONE! It was awesome to sit down with two year old Ben at the Mount Hawthorn Playgroup, and get his advice on handy skills for the home! ...I popped into the playgroup this morning to help launch Playgroup WA's new education campaign, Playgroups are for everyone! Through a grant from the Department of Communities, this initiative is aimed at WA playgroups increasing awareness of disabilities and working to be inclusive of all abilities at playgroup. While some playgroup members wanted to be inclusive at their playgroup they weren’t sure what to do. Now through a series of short films and other resource materials, the campaign advises playgroups what can be done to help all people feel comfortable at their playgroup. A big shout out to Mount Hawthorn Playgroup President Danielle Power and all the executive for the work you do! We love it!
