25.01.2022 Our ambulance service is there to care for those in need, but we understand that sometimes it can be a scary experience when you’re hurt and don’t know what is ...going on. Conquering a fear is never easy and Krystal has been working hard towards overcoming a fear of her own. Krystal suffers from PTSD and autism. Her fear of ambulances has been a challenge for her but she has slowly been working towards overcoming her fear and had this to say about her recent experience: [I am] slowly attempting to learn to be brave with them I got a bit stressed at first but tried hard and throughout the day started to get more comfortable and used to them there... and they were nice not so scary. And then by the end of the day I not only touched the ambulance I even shook the ambulance man’s hand!! That’s so HUGE for me. Huge thank you to them for being kind and encouraging for me and building my confidence a bit more. We’re so proud to see her progress and for shaking the hand of one of our Event Health Services officers. Special shout out to the team her helped her out too! We're committed to helping members of our community, no matter what.
