From 0-6 months the sole source of nutrition and hydration should... be: breastmilk or infant formula From 6 months - 12 months, you can begin to offer some cooled boiled water with meals and snacks. From 12 months up to 24 months good hydration and nutrition come from: water milk *full cream is recomended until 2 years of age. From 2 years onwards, water and milk remain the best drinks of choice. Occasionally, whole squeezed fruit juice is ok, but beware of reconstituted or compressed 'fruit drinks' which offer no nutritional value and may have added sugars. Note that whole fruit juice offers no nutritional benefits over whole fruit eaten.
