24.01.2022 Tocumwal Splash Park to be open for Christmas Berrigan Shire Council are thrilled that the designs are back for the Tocumwal Splash Park, with the installer, Wa...ter Features by Design, expecting to commence work early November, set for completion by Christmas. The Mayor, Cr Matt Hannan, is thrilled with the concept that has been presented. The bomber design is in line with the Tocumwal Town Plan and further enhances the McIntyre Fields historic influence in Tocumwal. Cr Hannan continued The Splash Park will be a wonderful asset to the township of Tocumwal, and not only attractive to locals and our residents in neighbouring towns, but also another drawcard for tourists. Berrigan Shire Council’s new Project Manager Nathan O’Connell is thrilled to be part of this development. As a local with young children myself, I can’t wait to see this project come to fruition. The bomber design is dynamic, and very different to any splash park I have seen. It will be very colourful and interactive, and includes a huge water dump from an overhead plane. Member for Murray Austin Evans said the splash park was an exciting addition to Tocumwal which would get extensive use by both local families and those visiting the region over summer. What a wonderful way for families to spend the warmer months; enjoying the lovely Murray riverside while the kids have a fantastic time in the splash park. I’m proud this government is supporting this great project, he said. The Tocumwal Splash Park is part of the Murray River Experience which has been awarded Restart NSW funding as part of the Regional Growth Environment and Tourism Fund.

B grade saw the ever consistent Tom Keogh win by 7 from Denis Garner, with Bob Burns taking out the nett trophy. Still working furiously on the issue of medical services, work and other headaches they've caused.
