Obviously some toys won’t come in packets (ie massive teddy bears)... and last year they were all still accepted. But if possible please leave things in their packets. 16.01.2022 EARMOLD AUSTRALIA A product I can not live without and customer service I can't speak more highly of! What are they?... Earmold plugs are custom made earplugs made of a soft durable rubbery substance. There are a variety of options from single driver options all the way through to DJ quality setups. Why I use them? First and foremost...to cut out wind noise! Especially in those more race orientated helmets. They are constructed to save weight and don’t have the noise reduction characteristics of say a touring helmet. I enjoy the option of having music. I can take calls and hear clearly. I can still chat with others when pulling up at stops and hear all relevant noises the bike is making. Great for track days. Music volume now sits at 1/4 as the sound goes directly into the ear, not through a speaker positioned in the helmet. The plugs do not cut out the essential noise, only the excessive noise. Wind noise for example! You can still hear the bike, your surroundings and have a conversation. I first purchased the single driver set ($269)which I used for 2.5 years with my Sena. I then upgraded to a dual driver set in which the team serviced them and reglazed the plugs. Woohoo! If you run a Sena without a 3.5mm jack, Sena sells the adaptor for around $15 I believe. Don’t want a wired headset? Don’t worry, they do a Bluetooth range as well! Earmould normally nail the fitting first go but sometimes a little adjustment is required which is a simple adjustment After years of road rides and track days, with my helmet going on and off over the cables etc there are no signs of wear at all. The glazing may wear off but this a good time to have them cleaned and services anyway. 2-3 years wear after all ain't bad. I've worn them on rides from 5 minutes long to 8 hrs and there has not been any discomfort. A typical break off the bike and you remove the plugs anyway. You need to clean them every now and again but that’s it. They come with a special cleaning pick and brush. The customer service is also sensational! Aaron loves a challenge and even made a pair for a rider to suit his hearing aids as well as a set for MrsiRider which was a difficult task as he had to fit dual drivers into the smallest mold he has ever done! Although the HQ is in the Brisbane Region, there are suppliers throughout Aus, so don’t stress! Earmold also support local racing and agencies linked to motorcycling, including lots of public support such as Long Ride, fund raisers and Santa Runs to name a few! 06.01.2022 Just completed a great 1400km two day ride to Tamworth and back again on big red. Covered some great roads and some not so great flood damaged roads. Even managed to drop the bike on a small detour bridge that almost saw the bike go over the edge. Thankfully it’s mainly cosmetic damage and can be fixed and we were ok. This really is a fantastic country we live in and the holiday here campaign is so true. There are so many great places to visit.
