This particular industrial motor, due to poor connections has had on going issues. We investigated into the matter and found poor terminations at the three phase supply resulting in under voltage and load increase across two phases. We immediately solved the issue by removing inadequate connections. We then implemented connections adequate ... enough to support the load, preventing under voltage and have balanced all three phases. Due to the lack of previous maintenance, this particular motor has been consuming more energy than required, luckily we intervened before the motor windings burned out, causing our customer costly down time.
