21.01.2022 For more than a decade, bee numbers have been diminishing across the globe. Pesticides and the Varroa mite are thought to be major contributors along withwait ...for it, malnutrition. According to a recent study to come out of Hebrew University, when it comes to pollen, bees are connoisseurs of sorts, showing preference for pollen with the right balance of fatty acids and micronutrients. Sadly, increased urbanisation has seen the number and diversity of wildflowers diminish and along with it, a bee's source of balanced Omega 6 and 9.
