17.01.2022 As the weather starts to cool and heaters will soon come out, please check your smoke alarms. We are happy to provide advice or update if you need any help.

16.01.2022 Keep your family safe Two types of smoke alarms are commonly found in Australian homes; Photoelectric and Ionisation. It is important to note that currently both types can be legally purchased and used as both meet the required Australian Standard AS3786. However, for a number of years now photoelectric smoke alarms have been the only type recommended by Australian Fire Authorities and Fire Brigades, as well as the International Association of Fire Fighters. In fact, a global... campaign is now calling for a total ban of ionisation alarms. Within Australia, the Northern Territory is ahead of the curve with the Northern Territory Fire Service already legislating against the use of ionisation alarms in the region. The following link is a short but powerful message on the difference between the two types of smoke alarms. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBYREgf542g See more

10.01.2022 Dear clients, please keep yourself and your families safe. Are you up to speed with smoke alarms? Since 1 January 2017 legislation has specified the type, positioning, and interconnectedness of smoke alarms for Queensland homes. https://www.qld.gov.au/emergency/safety/smoke-alarms.html

03.01.2022 A piece of fabric was woven with special strands of material that harvest electricity from the sun and motion. Fabrics that can generate electricity from physical movement have been in the works for a few years. Now researchers at Georgia Institute of Technology have taken the next step, developing a fabric that can simultaneously harvest energy from both sunshine and motion.

02.01.2022 Happy 2017 all! Hope this year will be filled with health and happiness for you.
