20.01.2022 We had a great One-Day Intro to Drum Circle Facilitation Training over the weekend. Everyone took away plenty of tools, skills and learning from the day to share with their communities in Sydney, Newcastle, the Central Coast and Dubbo! The drumming community continues to grow and bring the joy and power of rhythm to more people in these tough times. Now, more than ever we need to be connected and keep our spirits up. Drumming and rhythm delivers this in spades.* The One-Day ...Intro delivered more than 11 tools to empower Drum Circle Facilitators to lead successful Drum Circles for kids, adults as well as corporate groups. All based on the work of Arthur Hull and Village Music Circles. Usually we hold an Annual 3 Day Training October, but this had to be postponed in Melbourne this year because of the Covid lockdown and State boarder closures. Rhythm for:... - Respect - Acceptance - Peace - Understanding - Compassion Humanity has shown that we’re pretty great at conflict. (Look at all the wars). But we’re even greater when we Collaborate! (Our Covid experience is one such wondrous example). Earthen Rhythms drum circles create a rhythm connection. Non-verbal conversations, that focus the young mind, build coordination, dexterity, listening skills, precision, timing - as well as broad skills of accepting mistakes, moving through challenges and co-creating beautiful, powerful music. The science shows that playing rhythm fires up the synapses, releasing seretonin, dopamine and endorphins...a vital chemical cocktail for feeling good! A boon for social and emotional well-being. This all happens in the first 5 minutes of our drums circles and continues to permeate throughout. Time and time again, we see the results. And it’s not just in children.
