18.01.2022 w h o i s b e h i n d E a r t h M e d i c i n e B o x // Hi light beams! I am lena (@lena.kermode.ayurveda) and I am the creator of and string-puller behind @earthmedicine_box. I have always been a nature child who grew up at the edge of the forest and a cliff to the sea in a small town on an island in northern Europe. Nature has always been my happy place, my greatest teacher. Shoes were a never-quite existing concept in my life, neither was 'close the window/door!' ...a thing - I always needed to feel the fresh air and the energy of the seasons. (I didn't get better with shoes or closing doors and windows). From when I can remember my heart has been with the wellbeing of the planet, the animals and us as human race using our 'superior intelligence for the better' - to create peace, harmony and thrive all together, with love as our nature, creating positive change. Hence, I've always been passionate about everything holistic and natural living. I developed a love for cooking from a very young age through my mom, who is a brilliant cook and finds her creativity in the kitchen, and this paired with my passion for health - of the body-mind and soul - from when I started to care for myself from about 15 or 16 and had gone through quite depressed years of diving down the rabbit hole of animal (and human) cruelty and the dark aspect of the world out there. - This made me realise that change needed to happen from the INSIDE first, so it can radiate out. We cannot safe the environment or animals if we not safe ourselves first - and change how we see and love ourselves and each other first. This ultimately lead my on my own quest and healing journey and soon into the natural healing industry in which I know work as an Ayurvedic health coach & yoga therapist focussing on mental & gut health, hormone balance, stress/trauma release and conscious connection by helping women to connect deeper to their bodies, needs and selves to thrive as their highest selves with more joy, health, happiness, empowerment and abundance in all areas of their lives - to create a positive ripple effect in all those around them.
