All due to being ‘coward punched’ in the head and as a result fell backwards hitting his head on concrete. Ben is a second year apprentice, he’d just bought his dream car, he has a girlfriend and a Mother and sister who love him dearly I don’t usually put up posts like this on my business page - but this on...e deserves to be seen. Violence is all too common and accepted and it just shouldn’t be. One night, one bad choice, one wrong action, is all it takes to change the course of people’s lives. We don’t know what the situation will be for Ben when he wakes from his coma. His family’s lives are turned on their heads, they sit by his side begging for him to be alright. His girlfriend, his friends, his employer....every single person who loves Ben has been affected in some way. Talk to your kids, your siblings, your partner...talk about how violence is not ok, talk about the lives it destroys and the people it traumatises. NO family should ever have to see their loved one a victim of someone else’s anger and violent behaviour. Ben’s recovery is going to be long and expensive. 01.01.2022 Whos struggling with lockdown ? I know I am. Its 2am and my brain wont shut off and I feel overwhelming sadness. Its not that Im lonely-for I am not. I am not bored. I have much to do. I struggle because like my son, I am ADHD, I am a Wild Child that needs to roam, that needs to be released in nature, to get lost amongst the animals and trees. My soul yearns for my beloved Murray River, for my feet to be buried in sand and water, to be off grid and unplugged.
