21.01.2022 Join us for a screening of "the Economics of Happiness" on Sunday, April 26th at the Fremantle Yoga Centre raising funds to enable WA members of the Australian Earth Education Institute to attend the 1st national meeting at Crystal Waters, QLD in May 2015.

21.01.2022 To the Supporters of Earth School The goal for a 2015 kick-off for Earth School is creating focus and attention. A clear direction is now emerging, with a vision for Earth School to hold six short courses over the year. The dream of a centralised campus with a residential program is still very much on the agenda. The short courses are a way to step towards the bigger goal in a tangible way. The intention is to use the short courses as a platform to conduct market research an...d develop the business model, as well as to raise the profile of Earth School more broadly within our community. Now we have the exciting opportunity to co-create the six initial program offerings for 2015. We envision six short courses of 3-8 days in length. Do you have any ideas here? We would love you to put these on the table by 12 August. The Earth School Steering Committee will be meeting on the 13th August to decide on the themes for the six courses for 2015. Here are the ideas that we have thus far (with internal capacity or willing external connections to deliver this content at the level of excellence that we would all expect). Dragon Dreaming / Systems Thinking Deep Ecology Vision Fast Future Farming ( biodynamics, permaculture, biological farming) Bush Survival Men's Business / Woman's Business Put your thinking caps on and let me know: 1) What do you think about the short course direction for an Earth School start-up? 05.01.2022 Earth School will be a physical campus on a rural property in South Western Australia. Students will live and learn about themselves and their life purpose. The Earth School curriculum will be founded on three pillars: self-discovery, building community and service to the earth. Indigenous, earth-based ways and knowledge will overlay these three pillars. Through the course of the curriculum, students will identify their unique gifts and talents and learn to share these in an ...economically, socially and environmentally viable way. The curriculum will have an equal focus on the academic and practical. Academic learning will provide students with the insight and current cultural context that will enable them to break through the cycle of Business As Usual and into a new paradigm as part of "The Great Turning" where the human race becomes a benevolent or constructive force on this planet. Students will participate in and come to lead activities within a range of sustainable industries all the basic lifeskills we need to live a healthy, happy and productive life in harmony with the planet from building sustainable housing, to growing organic food and natural medicines, making clothing, keeping bees, to creating and music. Through their participation in these industries, students will be prepared to share their unique gifts and make a living out of it to apply their unique talents in an economically, socially and environmentally viable way.

03.01.2022 Albert Einstein in 1950 has stated A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security. (Artwork below from Alex Grey)
