24.01.2022 We are looking for some new bright and friendly team members to support our free bread service area. You will have a smiley dial and must have a passion for the community and helping those in need with an ability to connect to a wide range of people from a wide range of backgrounds. A non-judgmental outlook is a must. Getting bread into peoples hands may seem simple, but it makes a huge difference to our large number of regular and would-be clients. We are looking to expand ...our volunteer team to ensure we can provide the best service to those who need it most and expand our operating hours & days. This role will also take orders for our free lunch packs. This role requires the ability to read english clearly and use a tablet based register, the ability to think on your feet and be flexible to change and requires standing for the majority of the shift and often bending up and down. ------------------- We aim to keep a regular schedule however are always in need of emergency fill ins and flexible shifts. Current Shifts: Weekday 9:30am - 3:30pm Weekdays 9:30am - 12:30pm Weekdays 12:30pm - 3:30pm Delivery & Pickups *Must have own suitable vehicle and be physically capable of lifting 15 - 20kgs Weekdays 8:30am - 9:30am Weekday 1:00pm - 2:00pm At BREADLAND we meet people where they are at, serve them with an open heart and send them away with the means to a fuller stomach and a cared for soul xx

23.01.2022 We did not get to share our free lunch pack results post last week so we have two weeks worth to share today !! These two results posts feature some faces from our team that are often hidden; both Matthew and Maria-Anna are long term volunteers who generously bring dedication and heart to our kitchen each week xx Our lunch packs are going along strong. We are starting to see new faces as word spreads and continue to support those who rely on our simple gestur...e regularly throughout the week . The reason we get up and come to work and volunteer each day at Earth Village is for the people - not just so we can give out what their stomachs need, but even more so, feed their souls with compassion and dignity . There were a number of public holidays that have meant one less day in the week we were able to provide our lunchpack service throughout OCT/NOV This post shows off a few of our customers who regularly enjoy the opportunity to have a meal where they don't have to worry about where it is going to come from! As well as some of our amazing team of course! 09.01.2022 We will be closed this Monday the 18th of January for renovation work. We will be back on Tuesday the 19th. Thank you for all your support as we stay on our smaller menu with takeaway only over this period. Your regular purchases of coffee, decadent hot-chocs, ice-cream, and our pastries are keeping us going and enabling us to feed our mission in Melton.
