11.01.2022 After the recent rains (and hail) across Australia the frogs are going off! The timing couldn't be better because this is prime mating season and today marks the first day of FrogID week! Download this great free app and you will be able to record and listen to frogs all across Australia, creating an audio snapshot of species. Which is so important post bushfire event.

09.01.2022 The Greater Glider, has recently been split into three species using genetic testing and backed up by morphology. This is huge news because populations have been in decline over the past 20 years, with local extinctions common and recent bushfire events pushing their populations down even further. Now that there are three species evident, there will need to be clear and direct management plans set out to ensure their survival. The paper is linked in the comments for those who want to see. https://www.smh.com.au//australia-s-biodiversity-just-got-

07.01.2022 Hi! Did you know that in Queensland you can donate your bottles to us, it really helps! Currently we are working on mapping exotic pine trees that spread through The Great Sandy National Park aka Cooloola Recreational Reserve!

02.01.2022 THANK YOU to everyone who came along and participated in last nights webinar on identifying native plants using online tools. We were absolutely humbled by the amount of interest we received. I am so proud of the team behind it all and we have had a lot of positive feedback. Brilliant and great are just some of the words to describe the information that Jono Winnel brought with him in his sections on using the latest dichotomous keys to ID plants. So many people didn't even k...now they were available for free. Many thanks goes to the Dr Mark Nadir Runkovski who produced a first class presentation and guided us through the whole thing (we are new to LiveStreaming), we definitley would have been lost without him and the extra support from Natura Pacific. A big thanks also goes out to Joey Kangaroo who was only too keen to help out and keep on top of the audience interactions. We had so many engagements! It was a tough role to be sure! Many thanks too for Daniel Parker, Penny Parker and Lauren Eade who swung in last minute to save the day :) and of course Craig Suddrey who recorded the whole stream from home so that we can have a high def and better sounding version to share later on. I am exhausted, that was a massive effort thank you everybody :) - James Skewes See more
