24.01.2022 What does your pulse say about you? When compiling your signs and symptoms, your practitioner may take your pulse and check your tongue Whilst rate and rhythm certainly are considered, we’re actually looking for a whole lot more than this! ... ~ the state of your Qi at that particular point in time ~ the energy of the various organ systems in Chinese Medicine ~ the quality of the pulse; is it bounding? Is it soft? Is it thin or thick under our finger tips? The pulse is just another tool to contribute to our overall understanding of the body. Often it helps to fit together pieces of the puzzle that don’t always come out in the talking How cool is that?! See more

22.01.2022 Tiny points, tiny pins ...not so tiny effect We can’t always change what happens in our day to day life, but we can help to support the body’s response to the stimuli. ... If we are constantly working our stress response, our body starts to think it’s the only option. Just like you train your muscles at the gym, the more you practice accessing a state of relaxation, the better the body gets at finding it when you need it most. Acupuncture taps in to our parasympathetic nervous system (the chill one), allowing our body to enter a deep state of relaxation. Yes please! for Ease by @hayneshayley #easeacupuncture #nervoussystem #relaxation See more

22.01.2022 I’m curious, how do these words above from Rupi Kaur make you feel? . Health is an ongoing journey. When we start to look within, and decide we want to make changes that help us feel better, move with ease, and think clearer, it can sometimes feel like we’re unravelling a huge ball of string, and we don’t really know where it stops. Healing has so many different components and so many different phases. Add to that, the fact that our bodies are literally changing and tran...sforming every day, it kind of makes sense that the ‘goal posts’ feel like they’re constantly being moved! When it comes to healing ~ we don’t always feel like our ‘job is done’, but don’t forget to check back in with where you came from. Don’t forget to check back with where you started.

22.01.2022 Supporting your Liver during Spring can aid the body as it transitions from a more Yin dominant phase, to Yang. In Winter we turn our energy more inward to focus on Yin characteristics such as nourishing, storing and replenishing. In Summer our energy is expansive, energetic and moving ~ more Yang. ... The Liver/Gallbladder meridians support the transition between these states and in Chinese Medicine is often a focus during the Spring time shift. If there is imbalance, symptoms may include bloating and irritability, just to name a few. During this time, I often recommend warm lemon water to start the day. Not only is lemon fantastic for the Liver in Chinese Medicine, it’s also a great way to kick start your digestive system in the morning. #liver #spring #tcm #easeacupuncture for Ease by @hayneshayley @ Culburra Beach, Shoalhaven, NSW See more

22.01.2022 Imagine the intricacies of each and every aspect of your body, like a major highway network ~ weaving and flowing in multiple directions in order to create free flow throughout a region or an area. If there is an interruption or blockage (traffic jam) along these pathways, the traffic can no longer operate or flow as it should. This is how we view the concept of ‘Qi’ in Chinese Medicine. ... The smooth flow of Qi is required to every cell of your being in order for your body to move and function as it should. When something interrupts this ~ whether it be lifestyle habits, injury, diet, environmental factors, etc ~ these functions can no longer occur as normal. Acupuncture needles kind of act like traffic marshals; some at the site of the issue, to clean up the congestion some at diversion points further away, helping to redirect the traffic Hence, why you may have a pin in your foot for your headache, or in your hand for your back pain! from @the_civilgyan 2nd @hayneshayley #easeacupuncture #qi #meridians @ Berry, New South Wales See more

04.01.2022 Cupping Marks ~ often assimilated to bruises, these marks are actually quite different and you may be surprised to learn they don’t hurt like a bruise does! Did you know that the marks left from cupping are completely individual? Some people have dark marks, some light pink. Some are spotted and some almost crescent shaped. ... Some draw a sweat-like fluid and others don’t. Sometimes the skin feels cold after removing the cup, and sometimes it’s warm! This all depends on a number of factors including the individuals constitution, their signs and symptoms, their current activity and the style of cupping used at the time. Generally the more regularly one receives cupping, the less prominent the marks become as we remove the congestion and stagnation that is present. #cupping #cuppingtherapy #chinesemedicine for Ease by @hayneshayley @ Berry, New South Wales See more

04.01.2022 Sanctuary ~ What makes you feel most at home? Travelling really makes you think about those moments that keep you grounded, keep you happy and make you feel ‘at home’. Often the roof over our head has the least to do with this feeling! For me, I know the ocean and my hubby by my side are a big part of this. If I don’t have one, the other always helps! ...
