24.01.2022 Team Toucan have been working hard in their writing warm-up to improve their vocabulary. Today Mia wrote this fantastic starter "In the mysterious ocean, an old wretched and dilapidated ship was full of gold and shining diamonds. Suddenly a light flickered and a plethora of fish came out."
24.01.2022 For History Team Wonderland have been learning about the differences in leisure activities from generation to generation. Students have been exploring activities and games that were played before technology was available. Today they played one of these games themselves by versing each other in marbles.

16.01.2022 Last week our student leadership team for 2021 was inducted and presented their badges by Mr. Abb McAlister, Mayor of Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council. Mr. McAlister shared his thoughts on leadership and what he believes are good skills for leaders to possess.

14.01.2022 Team 3 are in full circus mode today. As part of their Creative and Performing Arts unit of work, Students are developing circus skills to create a sequenced performance. Some students are starting to master juggling three balls such as Deklan and Katie. While others like Cooper and Halle are finding their groove in partner juggling 6 balls between them. Today saw some attempts of Hula Hooping and Juggling combined, plus many attempts at new tricks.

14.01.2022 These Team K students and their families are really enjoying reading together at home ! They have signed up for our new P.A.I.R program. Parents and Carers love being involved and are so pleased with the progress their child is making. If you and your child would like to be involved just ring the school for more information.
13.01.2022 Our school captains recently visited some of the local businesses in our community. Halle and Cooper discussed with the owners the School Representative Councils goal of raising funds to purchase new sports jerseys and how they could support the students in achieving this. They hope to get out and about again soon to further engage with our businesses and community members.
13.01.2022 Team 3 have launched into learning about forces in science. The students explored the many factors that influence different forces we experience. Working in collaborative groups the students have conducted experiments by launching Aspro rockets, exploring gravity and researching how activities are conducted in space, making parachutes and building Lego WeDo dragsters when investigating speed. It has been a lot of fun and the students have generated some great ideas and questions for us to continue to explore.
13.01.2022 This week Team Giralang have been writing informative texts on echidnas. Today they created models of echidnas using clay and sticks. Great effort Team Giralang!!

12.01.2022 Such a fun day at the Young Schools Cup Netball Gala today. Well done to our Team 3 students who attended, you all did an amazing job. Thank you to the parents and carers that came over, you were all great supporters of our students and it was awesome to have you back involved in school sport activities.
12.01.2022 Congratulations to Halle Nicka and Cooper Dabin who have qualified for the Cootamundra District PSSA Swimming Carnival to be held at the Cootamundra Pool on Friday the 26th February. EA Southee is also hosting this carnival and as part of the leadership role Cooper and Halle have as our school captains they will assist in the running of the day as student representives.

07.01.2022 Early Wednesday morning, school captains Halle Nicka and Cooper Dabin, joined our staff to provide student voice during the Positive Behaviour for Learning meeting. They presented ideas and suggestions that they had developed with the student representation council, as to how we can improve on positive student behaviour recognition. We look forward to our leaders being more actively involved in assisting the schools decision making during 2021.

01.01.2022 Well done to our Premier's Debating Challenge team on their efforts over the last few weeks. Through the use of Zoom, the students have been able to compete in three debates with other schools. It has been a great experience for them all.
