24.01.2022 We are sorry to inform all members and guests that as a result of the current COVID-19 outbreak the Government of South Australia has instructed that all indoor sporting venues are to be closed until the further notice. We are hoping that this will be for only a short while. Please watch this page for updates.

10.01.2022 On checking the SA Government web site: https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/restrictions-and-respo/faqs, it appears that we are not able to open as yet. I would expect more announcements from government in coming days.

01.01.2022 A message from our President mapping our road back from COVID
01.01.2022 WE ARE (ALMOST) BACK!! Below is the message from our President. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again very soon! Stay tune for further updates. ---... Fellow table tennis lovers! This is a quick note to let you know that the plans are coming together to re-open the clubrooms for practice sessions in the very near future. I attended a Table Tennis South Australia virtual meeting last week where Paul Langley, the TTSA President, briefed the presidents of the affiliates across the State via Zoom. The technology worked well and Paul has since distributed the slides and a dozen other documents for guidance on what needs to be done to enable us to re-open. As you might expect, there are a number of mandated administrative and practical matters to attend to. Your committee met last week to start planning and we have been busy absorbing all the materials and putting in place what is needed. We will have another meeting tonight with Houghton where we will aim to ensure that we have everything in place. After that, we will write to you again with specific details. Our aim is to re-establish table tennis as soon as we can and I see no reason why the social sessions cannot also start without delay. There will be a number of regulations to follow regarding the number of people allowed in the hall, social distancing, and sanitising but they will be manageable and I would expect them to become less intrusive over time. So it is time to dust off your table tennis bags, clean your bats, and get excited about resuming table tennis. More soon. Stephen Cook President EATTC
