19.01.2022 We were lucky enough to have recently been part of a release of endangered Eastern quolls back to the wild and thought we would share some of the incredible work being done to preserve them. Tasmania still has Eastern Quolls naturally, where as the mainland of Australia has seen them go extinct until recent reintroduction attempts. Quolls from captive breeding facilities of the Tasmanian Quoll Conservation Programme were released as part of on-going monitoring research with t...he Tasmanian Land Conservancy group. Before release they underwent health checks and had radio trackers fitted so their coming and goings can be checked on. Good luck quolls and thank you to all involved . . . . . #tasmania #eastcoasttasmania #wildlifepark #eastcoastnatureworld #easternquoll #conservation #tasmanianwildlife #release

10.01.2022 Have you met Jason? This little corella is a new curious character at Natureworld after becoming an escapee pet. Naturally very playful and inquisitive birds even in the wild. Urban areas are huge playgrounds where they have been introduced in many areas across Australia, including here in Tasmania. ... Jason is still learning his aviary etiquette and will more than likely come and introduce himself during your visit! . . . . . #tasmania #visittasmania #bicheno #eastcoasttasmania #eastcoastnatureworld #wildlifepark #corella #parrots #avairybirds #cheekybird

04.01.2022 Cuteness overload!!! Our emu chicks only hatched 5 days ago but on day one they can run and feed themselves. These two are keeping us busy as they are always on the go! ... They make little noises now but an adult emu has a low deep voice which can be heard from almost two kilometres away!!! . . . . . #eastcoastnatureworld #tasmania #eastcoasttasmania #bicheno #wildlifepark #birdsofaustralia #emu #emuchicks See more

04.01.2022 Ygritte recently became a great grandmother! She is approaching her 8th Birthday, which might sound young to us, but with an average wild lifespan of just 4 to 5 years she has certainly done well and is one of the oldest in the park. Ygritte was very shy when she first arrived, sent to Natureworld from Save the Tasmanian Devil programme, but has gained a lot of confidence over the years. She has always been a keeper favourite with those big bright eyes ... . . . . . #tasmania #eastcoasttasmania #bicheno #visittasmania #wildlifepark #eastcoastnatureworld #tasmaniagram #instatasmania #tasmanianwildlife #tasmaniandevil #marsupial #grandmother See more
