25.01.2022 Saturday 10th October in the garden

23.01.2022 Yesterday, Saturday 28th, was just too hot! Lots of slumping in chairs under the tree but not a lot of actual gardening. And we all went home early. Next week, 5th December, is our Market Day Sale so keep the date. There will be lots of bargains and gift ideas: bric-a-beach, homewares, jewellery, plants, and more. Keep watching this space.

19.01.2022 Tomorrow, 21st November, will be a working bee with a difference. We will be having a workshop to make white butterflies. These will be placed around the garden to discourage real white butterflies from landing on our plants and laying eggs. The theory is that these butterflies are territorial and will avoid competing with current butterfly residents. Here are some photos from last week.

09.01.2022 Saturday 17th October - a perfect day for gardening. And chatting. More than thirty people came over the course of the day, the most we’ve had since our open day two and a half years ago. The Bunnings sausage sizzle on Sunday 18th was a great success thanks to all the volunteers who helped out. We made a profit of $1058 with half going to the Rotary club and half to the community garden. A great result! The next working bee will be on Saturday 24th October between 9 and 12. At the end of the gardening session we will be stapling Melbourne Cup trifecta tickets ready for selling the next weekend. Can you help?Bring a stapler and spare staples if you can. We have to staple 2024 trifecta tickets ready selling on the next weekend.

07.01.2022 This weekend Kariong Eco Garden has a working bee on Saturday 14/11, 10am - 1pm and our Repair Cafe and Boomerang Bags PLUS some stalls outside, also 10am - 1pm... on Sunday 15/11. Gentle gardening options, guttering repairs, recycling the old gates and fixing the water tank are all possible projects for Saturday as well as making a new banner to advertise the ECO GARDEN on Woy Woy Road.
