18.01.2022 Today marks the start of the 16 Days of Activism campaign. 16 Days of Activism is all about creating momentum, raising awareness and taking action towards endi...ng violence against women and girls. It begins on 25 November, the International day of Elimination of Violence Against Women and ends on 10 December, which is International Human Rights Day. This year the theme of the campaign is ‘Respect Is’. Over the next 16 days CHRH will be sharing what ‘respect is’ is to our staff, and some other resources in regard to the prevention of violence against women and their children. Today in our morning zoom meeting, staff shared messages of what respect means to them. See if you can spot any one you know?! #16daysofactivism #Respectis #Respectwomen #Callitout

07.01.2022 ORANGE THE WORLD | East Grampians Health Service is uniting to end violence against women and girls. From today, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, through to December 10 2020, International Human Rights Day, the 16 Days of Activism campaign raises awareness and galvanizes action to end violence against women and girls around the world. As part of this year’s 16 Days of Activism, we have placed an Orange Door in our two reception areas at EGH...S, which symbolise the ‘orange door network’. The ‘orange door network’ has recently been implemented for people living in the Central Highlands, which includes Ararat. This network provides services to women, children and young people who are experiencing family violence or families who need assistance with the care and wellbeing of children to access the services they need to be safe and supported. Over the next 16 days, EGHS staff will be wearing a touch of orange, the colour dedicated to the campaign and to symbolise a brighter future, free from family violence. #16dayscampaign #16days #orangetheworld #eghs #eastgrampianshealthservice

06.01.2022 Invitation to attend the 25th Annual General Meeting of East Grampians Health Service

05.01.2022 In aged care, often the challenge can be providing clinical care without making the home too clinical, it is after all a home and not a hospital despite some of the complex health considerations of many of our residents. One way to achieve this is to focus on making the home more homelike, with the use of colour, artwork and textiles such as cushions and curtains. We love to see resident contributing to this environment as it truly demonstrates the residents taking ownershi...p of the environment and making it feel like home. Recently, our residents Jean Graham donated some beautiful pictures that she has spent many hours creating. They are now hanging on our walls, in all their beautiful and colourful glory. Thank you Jean for making 70 Lowe St more like home!
