23.01.2022 As you’ll be aware, a confirmed COVID-19 case visited the Windsor Castle Hotel on Monday 13 July between 6pm-8pm. For our safety and yours, we ask that if you attended the Windsor Hotel during this period that you DO NOT come into the East Maitland Barbers store. We ask that you respect this even if you are not showing symptoms, to avoid any potential asymptomatic spread. 17.01.2022 To our valued customers, We’re very aware of the situation that is developing everyday in regards to COVID-19. The health of our customers and our staff is of the utmost importance, and we’re doing all that we can to minimise risk throughout East Maitland Barbers. If you are feeling unwell or displaying any flu-like symptoms, or have been overseas in the last two weeks, we ask that you do not come into the store. We are all taking extra attention with our hygiene practices, ...and some of the measures we are taking include: - Disinfecting all key touch points at regular intervals and practicing heightened personal hygiene standards - Removing the kids toy box (sorry kids... this made us sad, too!) to prevent the spread of germs via toy sharing - Spreading chairs for waiting customers further apart to ensure a safe distance between customers prior to hair cuts - Providing tissues and hand sanitiser to all customers We are still operating five and a half days a week, Monday to Saturday, and doing our very best to minimise risk when and where we can. Keep safe, wash your hands, cough into your elbow, look after yourself and your loved ones. Thank you to all our valued customers, and we hope to see you soon.

10.01.2022 We’re delighted to announce that as of Monday 4 May, East Maitland Barbers will be back open for business from 9am. This is a decision we’ve given a lot of thought, and due to the falling number of new cases throughout Australia, NSW, and in Maitland, plus the easing of restrictions by the state government, we feel comfortable opening our doors once again. All of our COVID-19 management hygiene policies will remain in place, as we do our very best to ensure our business and y...our haircut is as risk-free as possible. With one of the hallmarks.of the COVID-19 pandemic being it’s ever-changing nature, we’ll continue to monitor the situation and will make any further decisions as the situation requires. We will resume our normal operating hours - that is from 9am to 5.20pm from Monday to Friday, and from 8am to midday on Saturday. We can’t wait to see you back at East Maitland Barbers for a trim! 04.01.2022 Australia Day Long Weekend Closed Monday 27th Jan

03.01.2022 After much consideration, East Maitland Barbers has made the tough decision to close our doors indefinitely due to the situation surrounding COVID-19. This is not a decision we have taken lightly, however it is a decision which we feel is socially responsible given the threat of coronavirus. As all of you that came into the shop over the past weeks would have realised, we have been closely following social distancing laws and keeping our business as clean as possible. Despite... all of these measures, we still feel that the risk to ourselves, our customers, and the wider community was too high. As a result, Thursday 9 April was our last day of trading for the foreseeable future. We are devastated to have to shut our doors. We love working in East Maitland amongst dozens of other wonderful small business, we love every single one of our customers that comes through those doors, new and old, and we love helping men and boys around town look and feel their best. Hopefully, as a society, we will find solutions to the unprecedented situation we find ourselves faced with. When the road ahead is clearer, and when Federal and State Governments give assurances that we are able to operate without major risk, we will open our doors and get back to doing what we love. Until then, stay safe, wash your hands, stay home, and look after yourself and your family. We hope to see you back at East Maitland Barbers sooner rather than later. And, lastly, Happy Easter!
