21.01.2022 The mild summer we have had has caused a population explosion of rats and mice. All the rodenticides that you can buy are toxic to dogs and cats . We have seen a spike in poisoned pets in the last few weeks. Keep poisons away from your pets, and if they are ingested call us immediately for advice.

16.01.2022 This is an excellent example of adult tapeworm from one of our patients after treatment with a tapeworm tablet. The two most common ways dogs and cats pick up tapeworm is from the ingestion of fleas from their coat/environment OR from the ingestion of raw meat. This can be from human grade raw meat (including bones) or rodents, birds, small lizards etc. We recommend regular worming with an approved tapeworm tablet. Please check the product you are using carefully to see if it... treats tapeworms because many DO NOT kill tapeworm. As always, feel free to get in touch with our friendly receptionists, nurses or vets for further advice regarding tapeworm control.
