22.01.2022 It’s a little different at kinder at the moment, but the children are still learning and enjoying their experiences. Just a reminder, kinder is open to all families regardless of whether parents are working, so it’s a little different to schools. There’s a range of safety procedures that have been put in place including staggered drop offs, additional hand washing, removal of sensory play, and extensive cleaning of play areas and toys. And the online programs are also continuing full steam ahead for those families who choose this option.

21.01.2022 Welcome to the newest members of our Kindergarten family - Mocha & White foot!

18.01.2022 We have some wonderful parents in our kinder community. One lovely mum from our 4 year old group organised a nature activity for the children. Using fresh flowers and vines the children each made a beautiful circlet. It was such a fun and creative afternoon with the children demonstrating the fine motor skills they’ve honed throughout the year.

18.01.2022 We have some new pets at kinder, baby leafy stick insects! The children are fascinated by our new pets and are keen to learn all about them.

16.01.2022 Our 4 year old group headed out on an excursion to Rickett’s Point this week. The children had lots of fun exploring the rock pools and even had a splash in the water. We found jellyfish, crabs, sea urchins, sea lettuce, sea grapes and many different shells.

16.01.2022 EVENT: Open Day at East Beaumaris kinder (Wells Road) on Saturday 21 March from 11-1pm. Come along and meet our dedicated 3 and 4 year old class teachers, hear about our successful extended hours program and see for yourself our large indoor space and popular nature based outdoor play area. We are looking forward to meeting you then.

11.01.2022 At kinder today we read a lovely book full of Australian wildlife. The children then had fun creating their very own nature pendants decorated with blossoms, flowers and gum nuts.

10.01.2022 Our 3 year old group are settling in nicely to their new kinder environment and starting to play alongside their friends. Today we read Harry the dirty dog, played duck duck goose and enjoyed lots of free play.

09.01.2022 Are your children asking questions about the Coronavirus? We’ve come across this free digital book that might help you have age appropriate conversations about the virus with your children. This book is illustrated by Gruffalo illustrator Axel Scheffler. 08.01.2022 Our 3 year old children were very excited to see our new baby guinea pig Mocha up close today. We read a story about guinea pigs and learned what they like to eat and how to look after them.

05.01.2022 As our Blue Wrens started off term 2 today, remotely and onsite, we have to thank our passionate educators and the tireless work of the committee in making the changes needed to make this program happen as safely as possible. A big thank you also goes to our wonderful kinder families for supporting our kinder during this crisis. Thank you everyone.

04.01.2022 Happy wrens-day! A beautiful photo of a blue wren feeding his baby. What a stunning bird for our 3 year old group to be named after.

03.01.2022 The King Parrot Group made their first foray into the park last week in search of mini beasts. As well as finding millipedes, pillbugs and a beetles head, we also stumbled across the bear on our bear hunt! We are looking forward to more adventures to the park over the coming weeks!

02.01.2022 Our final week of term 4 is here. We’ve been very lucky to have many parents involved in the last few weeks. The children enjoyed decorating their own meditation stones, made interesting creations using shells and of course had fun with lots of sparkly Christmas craft. We’ve also been rehearsing our songs and performances for the Christmas concerts. The children are so excited to perform for all the parents and special friends this week.
