11.01.2022 Congratulations are in order for a couple of all-time legends of our club, who each registered some significant personal milestones over the weekend. Just a few weeks on from notching his 400th senior game for East Belmont, Peter "Jack" Caulfield played his 403rd game for the club, vs the South Barwon 5ths. This takes him past older brother Dennis "Crow" Caulfield (402) and into outright second place on our all-time games leaderboard. He now sits behind only Peter "Jexy" Rami...a (504) in terms of senior games played for East Belmont. Backing up his 2/14 against the Leopold 4ths on Saturday with figures of 1/12 vs the Lara 3rds on Sunday, "Big Jim" Timberlake brought up his 550th career wicket and also moved past Ian Shawcross (551 @ 15.14) into outright second place on the club's career wickets leaderboard. Jim's 552 scalps @ 18.92 now trails only Crow's 782 @ 16.38 for all-time senior wickets taken for East Belmont. Well done to both Jack and Jim on these outstanding milestones, which are each indicative of sustained excellence over many, many years of cricket! All-time Senior Games Leaderboard 1. 10.01.2022 Congratulations to Matt Miller, who will tomorrow play his 50th senior game for the club when the 3rds play St. Joey’s at Carey Oval. Playing his first cricket for the club in the Under 11s in 2013/14, Matt showed enormous early promise with both bat and ball. A member of our Under 17 Everett premiership side in 2017/18 (in which he delivered a decisive spell of 6/46), Millsy went on to take out the Fiolet Family Trophy for Junior Cricketer of the Year in 2019/20. 09.01.2022 We are just about ready to crack into what promises to be a massive GCA grand final weekend! With three senior sides participating (1sts vs North Geelong @ home, 2nds vs South Barwon @ Leopold and 5ths vs South Barwon @ Grovedale College) there will be plenty of places to look, but as the host club for the GCA’s marquee event, we also have plenty of responsibility for putting on a great day. While having three sides participating in their respective deciders is a terrific pos...ition to be in, it also places added burden on those of us not participating to carry the load of volunteering on the day. We are currently still in need of volunteer staff to take food and drink sales from the bar/kitchen, as well as to cook a sausage sizzle during the afternoon. We also need an MC to make ground announcements via the PA system. If you are available to help out with any of these responsibilities, please get in touch with Tom Scannell to register your interest. With enough hands on deck, we are hopeful of each person being required for no more than two hours each. A massive thanks to all our volunteers and let’s help make this is a weekend to remember for our club!

08.01.2022 Div. 2 skipper Ash Grinter comes into the 1sts, with Rachael Walker also returning, as Kristen Long and the injured Michelle Gerdtz depart the side for this Sunday's clash with North Geelong at home.

07.01.2022 Congratulations to Dylan McMahon, who will play his 100th senior game for the club in today’s 1st XI grand final vs North Geelong at Winter Reserve. The son of 254-game life member Russell McMahon and former club treasurer Robyn McMahon, as well as the younger brother of Patrick (81 games), Lauren, James (176 games) and the twin of Hayden (107 games), Dylan came through our junior program commencing as a seven-year-old in the Under 11s. 07.01.2022 We may have missed out on a couple of results in the higher grades yesterday, but the 5ths managed to get it done in a big way to ensure we didn’t finish the weekend without any silverware. Batting first at Grovey College, we were knocked over for a meagre total of only 128, with Aiden Timberlake top scoring with 26. It was always going to take a special effort to defend that total, and thankfully, our bowlers well and truly rose to the task. Leigh Fraser bagged 4/8 (picking up the Man of the Match Medal for his efforts) while Joel Cooper took 3/11 and Aiden 2/18, as we knocked the Swans over for just 55 to secure a 73-run victory. Congratulations to skipper Steve Harper and the boys on the win and enjoy the celebrations!
